Things I’m Digging Lately – Shopkick and Nail Polishes

Y’all know that I love introducing you to new products that I am digging lately and have made their way to the top of my drugstore of a bathroom.  I am also a firm believer in the amount of money that is saved with at home manicures and pedicures.  Don’t get me wrong, there is no better feeling than a fresh mani/pedi from the salon but I can never fully relax while I’m getting it done because I’m thinking of the ten other things I should be doing with that two hours.  I have the full gamut of tools to have the same effect at home.  I had the opportunity to work with Sally Hansen and shopkick and wanted to introduce you to both.

I am loving all the at home gel lines that have popped up on the market.  There is no need for UV cancer curing rays, still gives the same high gloss finish, and with a longevity up to two weeks.  Now, I wash my hands a ton, so if I can get a week with any mani I am a happy camper.  I have found with a lot of the long wearing lines that have come out, my nails look a little dry when I finally take the polish off.  I was introduced to this new Color Therapy line by Sally Hansen that has Argan Oil in the formula.  I was immediately intrigued and liked the full array of color choices (38 to choose from!).  I picked up N.400, Exotic Acai which I thought was a great holiday color.  I liked the brush of the polish, it allowed the product to distribute evenly.  The color glided on flawlessly and has been going strong for a solid 5 days so far.

To find where the polish was stocked locally I used the shopkick app.  Have you checked this out before?  It gives you points (or kicks!) for shopping at all the places that are already in your routine.  You get points for walking in the door, scanning items, buying, and scanning your receipts.  It also gives you heads up about deals and sales at all your favorite stores.  I looked up this Color Therapy line at my local Target, got my kicks for walking in, scanning the product, buying and then scanning the receipt on the back end.  You can then use those kicks for gift cards back to your favorite stores.  So basically if you aren’t using it every time you walk into a store, you are missing out on the opportunity to win free credit to the stores you frequent often.  I know around the holidays those extra gift cards will come in handy!

I definitely recommend you check out this new line from Sally Hansen.  It has a great color payoff.  I am also really digging the oils in the polish that are super nourishing paired with their cuticle oil which is a total lifesaver during these drier Winter months.  Now that I’ve been using it for a little while, my favorite part is how gracefully it comes off with nail polish remover.  You know when you usually remove dark polish and it stains your nails and skin?  Well, this comes off so easy and with no dark residue.  I am very impressed!  If you need help finding it, you can always look it up with the shopkick app and earns those kicks towards gift cards!  I have been racking them up lately with all my holiday shopping.

What is your favorite nail polish line?  Do you do your own manicures at home or have someone else do them?  Have you heard of the shopkick app before?  This post was in collaboration with Sally Hansen and shopkick.  All opinions are entirely my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands that work with Meet at the Barre.

I’ve tried other sally hansen gel like options but not this one so I’m excited to check it out! I’ve recently been using the essie gel nail polish (couture line) and I bring it with me to the salon and get the manicure then touch up as needed…for $12 it’s not a bad deal LOL!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

Love that color! Also, love Sally Hansen nail polishes! They don’t seem to chip that easily and the formula is so good!

I refuse to go to a salon to have my nails done when I am perfectly capable of doing the same thing at home, so I am always looking for fun colors and good polishes to invest in. I love Sally Hansen but haven’t seen this particular line from them. Will have to check it out! Love that color!

I love that color! I never get manicures. My nails are so bad it’s embarrassing. I really should do something about it, haha!

I’m having a “why didn’t they think of this sooner” moment. lol For real though, polish that’s good for my nails? Pick me! Pick me! I actually saw this display in my weekend shopping endevours, but was so focused on beating the crowds and last minute shoppers, I ran by it. I’ve always love Sally Hansen polishes!

I love at home gel polish and the Sally Hansen ones are great! I use them on Avery because she is such a picker and it lasts so much longer on her. Love the color!

I ADORE getting my nails done, but I have honestly not gotten them even looked at since I had the baby. One of these Saturdays, we’ll leave the baby with dad (or maybe I’ll do it after work) and get the entire package together!

I use shop kick ALL THE TIME… I haven’t decided what to do with my points yet, but I’ve amassed about 21,000 already. It’s such an easy way to earn money from your phone, lol!

Use them before they change it on you. I was using an app called Receipt Hog and the amount of points I already had were only worth half as much as they were before.
