Weekending – The First of November

Happy November.  This weekend was certainly jammed packed.  I have finally reached the age where my Facebook feed is now dominated with everyones adorable children, instead of lingerie and wings aka devil and angel costumes.  Or my favorite is the sexy cops and boxers.  I tried to snap a lot over this past weekend.  It was absolutely gorgeous out but I wouldn’t mind just a little bit cooler.  Linking up with B!

We started off on Saturday at the St. Pete Food Truck rally.  It was apparently the largest food truck rally  in the US, they were trying to beat a Guinness World Record.  It was held right by the water, which the breeze coming off the water was very helpful.  I don’t know why I decided to wear jeans but it was a bad idea.St. Pete Food Truck RallyFood Truck RallySt. Pete Food TruckGrilled Cheese Food TruckMeatballs Food Truck

It ended up being so hot we decided to head over to our favorite little Mexican spot Casita Taqueria in St. Pete.  Crazy I know, we left a food truck rally for another place to eat but air conditioning was calling our name. It’s like you know when you’re at a football game and it’s scorching hot out and then someone walks by with a steaming turkey leg…….then you think to yourself “how can anyone eat that right now???” Yup.  Kind of like that.  Casita Taqueria did not disappoint.  Locals you have to try it! I get the bowl every time we go.Casita Taqueria

We made it home for a quick change and then headed over to the hockey game.  There are a few Boston teams that I still cheer for but I do really love Lightning hockey.  When you grow up in a city that revolves around sports, any other city pales in comparison.  However, Tampa is really behind hockey and I love seeing the city camaraderie with it!Tampa Bay Lightning Game

After that we headed out for a little Halloween fun.  We made sure to hightail it out before it got crazy downtown.

Sunday was spent getting ready for the week and my parents came up to join us for dinner.  Family is everything and it was such a nice cap to the weekend!

I had tons of giveaways last week.  Make sure to check your email because I contacted everyone over the weekend!  This month I’ll also have tons of great giveaways since I’ll be celebrating my two year blog anniversary!  Insanity.  I remember like it was yesterday sitting at Mark’s parents house with my computer in my lap scouting down all the Thanksgiving sales to launch this space with.  Definitely always evolving and growing over here.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and I can’t wait to check out all your Halloween fun!

Love a good Food Truck rally. So many delicious choices out there, yum, I’m hungry right now, haha.

TBL was one of the first teams [besides the CAPS] I cheered for growing up. I really started following them the year they won the Stanley Cup in 2005, it was soooooo cool watching it all unfold. Glad you were able to get to a game, they are so fun right?

Cheers to a 2 year blogivesary. I remember finding your blog right at the beginning, you’ve kept my attention every since :)!

I have to agree with Pamela about you wearing jeans when it’s 90 degrees. No wonder you were hot!! I mean your outfit is super cute, but I would have been way too hot. Anyways.. that food truck event sounds like fun. That Mexican food looks delicious too. I’m glad that you enjoyed your weekend and time with your folks too. I hope that you have a lovely day today too!! :-)

I totally get leaving an outdoor thing for something air conditioned. Who can eat in that heat?! I’m glad it’s cooling off here, though. The 70s are so much better than the 90s/100s!

Um, hello food truck heaven! Looks right up my alley. :) I’m glad you had a fun weekend, despite it being so warm! I’m glad I’m not the only one that only sees photos of everybody’s kids now on Halloween – funny how things change.

Food trucks are like a myth to me. haha. I see them in all the movies, I fantasize about eating from one, and living in blah Ohio we don’t have any. Like I want to buy one and drive it around to fill that void. Must. experience. food. trucks! (; Loved your weekend snaps as always, though my toddler jumped and was scared at the hockey snaps!
