Happy Monday! I think we all need to vote for three day weekends am I right? That expression of a night out is a day in? Yup that pretty much sums up my Sunday after our very long day in Gainesville the day before. I am just ready for this oppressive heat to finally be over. I’m looking forward to our trip out to Denver so hopefully I can catch some cooler weather. Gainesville was just brutal with the heat, even with a 3:30 game. It was fun seeing old friends and running into tons of people back on campus. We played Kentucky so we were digging through the closets early Saturday morning to find our orange only gear. Thankfully, the game was not close and the Gators added a W. I don’t think there will be a ton of those this season but wishful thinking. If you saw on my snaps this weekend, I was surprised by Mark with our brick in front of the stadium (the brick walkway leading into the stadium in the front). He had our brick personalized with our wedding date. It was very special and extremely thoughtful. He is full of surprises that one! Linking up with Biana for a weekending update!
I brought my camera thinking I would take tons of pictures…..instead I got those two, one on my iPhone and the rest of the time I snapped away. At least I tried right?
Sunday was spent in trying to get ahead for the week. I wanted to share a few things that I have been totally digging lately!
I did a campaign with nügg Beauty on Instagram and I was so impressed with the products I had to share them with you. The little mask pods; a little goes a long way! I can get about 4 uses in each of them. They make your skin so smooth and hydrated afterwards. Plus, I have the most sensitive skin and everything new breaks it out. No problem with these. I highly recommend grabbing them.
I shared this on Friday but I’ve been really stuck lately with finding a natural deodorant that works. I used to use PiperWai but then it must have been re formulated or something because I had an allergic reaction to it. I picked up the Lavinila sport (the sport version makes a difference!) after reading great reviews and it really works. Plus, it rolls on like a regular deodorant so it’s user friendly.
I got a lot of messages from my snaps over the weekend about my sunnies. They are my new favs. Super light weight and affordable.
Now that I have lash extensions I don’t use mascara anymore. However, I still want the bottom lash drama when I go out. Well, Pixi came out with a lower lash mascara and it’s perfect. It’s a tiny wind that gets every single lash. I highly recommend picking it up. I also am loving the 24k under eye roller. It is cooling and hydrating without being overly sticky.
I picked up these mesh panel leggings and they are an EXACT dupe to the lululemon ones and they are under $20 (do not ask me why they are styled with high heels hahaha). I have worn them to teach and take. I am definitely impressed with the quality. Scoop them up in black and navy, you will not regret it.
I bought this Thalia purse during the Nordstrom sale and I wear it on major repeat. My favorite color the Bordeaux, the minute it goes back in stock on Nordstrom, it sells out. Luckily, the Sole Society site has it it stock, so grab it before it sells out again. It is super affordable (under $50!) and fits so much. It actually fits my smaller DSLR camera with no difficulties.
I’ve been on the hunt for an affordable suede baseball cap and after Jaclyn’s post, I prompted ordered it here.
So I’ve been wearing my MLM Maison top on major repeat. Like it’s embarrassing. I promise you it’s worth the splurge. Size down, it runs big. I picked it up in an XS. Well, now it’s available in a dress version for the Fall and how stunning is the burgundy color?!?!?
I’ve talked endlessly about how much I love the Essie Gel Couture line. My new favorite color for the Fall is Gala-Vanting. It is the most perfect deep burgundy.
Finally. My fringe booties that I seriously wear every single second that I can. I found them on sale for you here. They run true to size, I wear a 9. Grab them now while they are fully stocked!
I hope everyone had a fabulous week! Make sure to check back this week for lots of new content including my packing list of what I’m wearing for the Life is Beautiful festival!

I love summer, but this heat is not conducive to an enjoyable college football season! I can’t wait until temps cool down, too. And I love the Lulu knockoffs; I’m always looking for good but inexpensive leggings for barre!

I love those booties and that bag! I was going to try that Essie gel polish yesterday at my nail place, but I hesitated. Did it last a long time? That color is really pretty too. Cute picture of you and Mark at the game too. Oh and your Instagram videos were cute too! :-)

I’m with you on wanting oppressive heat to be over. I got spoiled by the northeast last week and now it’s business as usual. On top of all that, I keep checking my travel schedule and it looks like it’s going to be hot and muggy everywhere. Ick!!
Love the brick surprise – that’s so sweet of Mark!!!

That was so sweet of Mark to surprise you with the stadium brick – too cute! I can’t wait to try out your product recs. I’m going to look at those leggings, and I’m still waiting to bust out my Thalia bag in grey. It may have to happen today, though since you’re raving about yours so much!

Really loving Essie’s gel polish too! I unfortunately found Oliver chewing on that Pixi eye serum on Friday night… that was a tube down the drain…

I could really use that roller ball for your eyes today! Seriously, why can’t we make 4 day work weeks a thing? I’m so excited for your Denver trip! I’ve got a trip guide in the works, but it’s taking me forever…so please go to: Root Down, Union Station, and Rocky Mountain National Park if you can swing it!

Looks like another Pixi product I’ll have to check out! Looks like you guys had a great time at the game!

I have been using the regular LaVanilla but now I am intrigued that they have a sports version. I will have to try that one too and see the difference. Truth be told, I have been staying inside most of the summer due to being huge and already too hot…not to mention the mosquito concern. Those sunnies are fabulous and I just love Pixi stuff. Glad you guys had fun at the game on Saturday. I know watching the Alabama game that they kept mentioning it was 100 degrees on the field. I am like what do you expect for September in the south? Gosh people!

We usually attend a USF game in September, and I always try and look all cute, and then die of heat (esp after an adult bevvy or two), and think, “WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?!” Regardless, you looked cute! P.S. Love the bracelets in the photo you shared, who are they from?
Jillian says
Sounds like a hot but fun weekend! Have fun in Denver… I’m so jealous you’re going to Colorado!!

I am definitely going to have to try those masks! I also have sensitive skin and have a challenging time finding masks that don’t completely wreak havoc. Those look great!
