Happy Monday dolls. I hope everyone had a great weekend! I am ready to tackle this work week, trying to come out of the gate with energy this week. I wanted to share one of my favorite new features with Instagram right now (probably the one thing I like about Instagram right now, dang new algorithm). I personally like sharing a lot of “behind the scenes” and the real life stuff with the stories feature. To see that just click my profile picture. On my stories, I talk about my favorite new products that I’m loving, my newest online shopping haul, stuffing my face with donuts this weekend etc. There is a new feature that you can swipe up on your screen and get the actual link to what I’m talking about. I think this is so cool. It is immediate and there are so many bloggers I love their snaps but I’m like hey where do I snag that purse you’re talking about?!?! You don’t have to be signed up for Liketoknowit. Just whatever you are interested in and the person has linked the product for you, you will see a “See More” option at the bottom of the screen. All you have to do is swipe up and it will take you to the shopping link.

Now, for you blogging gals out there if you want this option you have to switch to a Business account and have more than 10k followers I believe the second part (that’s just what I’ve heard). Now, I really have issues with the Business account. I definitely feel like my actual posts don’t reach as many people because they want you to pay to play, aka pay to be seen. However, I really like the analytics that go along with it and this feature. So, really the jury is out for me about having to go back to the Business account but I will see how well you guys are liking the swipe up feature. So far I’m getting great feedback from everyone about seeing and finding things in real time.

How to add the links to your stories now. When you capture an image, you should see a link button in the upper right-hand corner. That is where you can drop your link. I personally just like linking the one thing but I’ve seen other gals drop in their Like to Know it link to give all the shopping details. It is totally up to you.
When you go to see your own stories that “See More” feature will not come up, you will just see the gear in the bottom right-hand corner. I logged in under my sister’s account and was able to see how it looks to everyone one else. So what do you think? Are you liking this new feature? Have you heard of it before? Do you currently use a Personal or Business account? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! xoxoxo

I’m loving this feature too! A much easier way to read posts too – no more “link in profile” business. Call it a first world prob but that little link is hard for my chubby fingers, lol!

I do like the feature, but I’m annoyed that of course they limited it to 10K plus! Getting to shop outfits in real time is so great! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

I wasn’t sure about instagram stories at first, but now I love it…. I think even more than the pictures! The swipe up feature is really handy too!

This is a great feature! Too bad I don’t have the followers (and probably never will, lol) to use it. Makes shopping your posts easier, though!

The swipe up feature is so fun! Unfortunately I don’t have enough followers to use it but it definitely comes in handy when I see something one of my fav bloggers or celebs is wearing! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

I personally LOVE this feature! It’s just so convenient and easy!

I do like that feature while I am watching stories. Hate that you have to have 10,000 followers and switch to a business account to use it for myself, but I will continue to enjoy it with others! I finally dowloaded the LiketoKnowIt app and when I screen shot a picture on Insta, I can instantly shop the post so it isn’t as bad as waiting for the email and I am less annoyed with that option now. Zoe and I are entertained by everyone’s stories :)

I was wondering about this feature, thank you for the info! But ugh, 10k followers? That’s a lot! I have finally figured out the insta stories, this really has made me feel so old, lol!

I love this new feature too! Both to use on others stories and to put on my own. It is just so darn handy!

Oh Instagram how I love and hate you so much at the same time! This is a great new feature, but it would be fantastic to open it up to everyone as a lot of us enjoy following bloggers with wearable and affordable outfits, and you don’t always get that once people have a huge following. And these algorithms… yeesh! I’m waiting patiently for them to at least give us the option to view chronologically again.

I think the only thing I like about Instagram lately is their story features. Being able to swipe up is so convenient.
