Music Monday-Spinning and Running Playlist

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.  I don’t know about you but I will be in a work out class every day this week with how well I eat this holiday.  To help assist you with finding some motivation I put together a music playlist for you.  I know I agree…it was very sweet and thoughtful of me!  If you have good tunes fueling your workout, I find it makes putting on my shoes for a run or heading to that class a little easier.  I hear these songs and just start moving and dancing.  Btw…I don’t know about you but I fancy myself quite the car dancer… I can really break it down and get low….if I get Mark to raise his eyebrows during a Kesha or Flo Rida song… I know I have succeeded.
I think I can break it down…. for example…..

Btw I do not have a sweet wrist tat in case you were wondering…just a strategically placed hand stamp from Pat O’Briens piano bar in New Orleans.
I really have no idea what I’m doing here….I think it was the part of Sweet Caroline when Neil sings “Hands……Touchin’ Hands…Reachin’ Out”

However whenever anyone does an impression of “Amanda dancing” everyone does the same three
moves, one in particular involving a shoulder shimmy looking move….so clearly I don’t have it as much as I think I do….I mean I thought I can drop it like Britney Spears circa 2001…like her “I’m  a Slave for you” VMA performance…..

I digress…

So without further ado… my first inaugural Music Monday addition

NONONO- Pumpin Blood.  Good beat to start warming up to, staying in the saddle of the bike and then up to the third position when the chorus kicks in.  Or if running nice tempo beat to start to get the body warm

DJ Sammy Feat. The Jackie Boyz- Shut up and Kiss Me.  Really fun faster tempo beat.  I like to alternative between second and third climbing out of the saddle.  Or alternating tempo sprints with running.  Oh yeah try not to hate the video….yachting around the South of France..no big deal…do that on the reg

Icona Pop- All Night.  I love this song just a little too much.  It’s on repeat right now.  Tempo song climbing up in third.

Conor Maynard- R U Crazy.  First 30 seconds quick sprint, then add on the resistance and bring it up to third.  Heavy start of the climb.  When voice inflection changes pull back into hover then back to climb.

Messiah- I see Monstahs.  Keep the climb going.  Heavy resistance in the saddle, when the chorus drops keep resistance on powering up to third pushing through the resistance.  Awesome sprinting song for running.

Lorde-Tennis Courts.  Keeping the heavy climb staying in the saddle, cranking the resistance every 30 secs to reach max climb, increase speed during chorus while staying seated.

Sander Van Doorn & Mayaeni-Nothing Inside. Stay seated, heaviest resistance until the beat kicks in, unload the resistance and sprint it out.  Then crank the resistance and repeat (love this girls voice sounds like Adele initially).

Gavin DeGraw-Best I Ever Had.  Speed work in the saddle, staying seated and sprinting on chorus, 75% speed in between.  Great tempo and speed song for running.

Naughty Boy ft Sam Smith- La La La.  Jumps at about each minute mark.

Cash Cash-Take me Home.  Great recovery song and then climb in third. Tempo running song.

Zendaya-Replay.  Last heavy climb, power up to third when the chorus kicks in.

Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash, John Martin-Reload.  The best song to end with, power up in third or sprint it out to finish your run out.

Goo Goo Dolls-Come to Me.  Cool down…you made it!

Well there you have it!  My spinning and running playlist for the week.  What songs are you digging this week or motivating you to get off the couch?  I shared with you leave your comments with favorite songs for the week!

p.s RIP Paul Walker... so sad…. I have absolutely adored him from the days of Varsity Blues with his pep rally speech about drifting off to sleep with dreams of beating Bingville. How could you not love him in all those fast and furious movies… “Are you a cop Brian”…so young and so sad.

I didn’t think I did until everyone used the exact same shoulder shake when impersonating my dance moves! :-)

I love sharing songs with people! There is nothing that makes me happier after a long spin class someone coming up and asking what song I played during that climb etc. Enjoy! I am going to try to keep once a week highlighting new songs so definitely check back.
