Friday I went to discuss and had my consultation with my amazing friend Jesse who has been doing my hair for years. Actually she does two of my bridesmaids as well. All I have to say is airbrush makeup is for real.
Mark and I met one of our favorite couples over at Eddie V’s.
I considered it a small victory that I got out of the house and away from sitting on the couch with wine watching netflix gilmore girls……I have a problem. Side note. I am going to miss my wood floors and perfect blogging outfit picture corner. I still haven’t picked out my next location in the new digs…..I mean it needs ample space and good lighting am I right?
Saturday we woke up bright and early to meet Mark’s jeweler to pick out our wedding gifts. I am so pumped because after months of searching for Mark the exact watch we were looking for came in. We picked out our bands (mine completely different then originally planned) and my gift which still gives me butterflies thinking about. All I can say is thank goodness for the long engagement….plenty of time to save.
That night I came home with strict instructions to pack and not watch gilmore girls. I pretty much did my assignment but did get sidetracked with this amazing app I found. It’s from L’Oreal and you take a selfie and then you can apply any of their products so you can see how they look on you. It’s free. I’m sorry there goes at least an hour of your life. No lie I had no makeup on my face before this was added with the app. (Not sponsored just obsessed)

Sunday I was determined to get my invitations finished. Which also means finalizing guest lists…..cue the dramatic music. Or I should say nails on a chalkboard. Men attention spans for guest lists is pretty slim. Make sure they are well fed before you start…..word of advice. I can’t wait to share them with you when they come in. I was so pumped with how our Save the Dates turned out, I was definitely going with Minted again.
Then there was more packing.
I caved and bought the cd. It just felt cliché and girlie enough to be drinking wine, singing taylor swift to myself and bubble wrapping fancy glasses.
Did some more Christmas shopping…..a little for myself. Love them. The heel is the most perfect height. Also picked up the sweetest night sleeping set and these affordable amazing Kate Spade dupes for a fraction of the price polka dot tech gloves.
Finally bring on the peppermint everything……who needs a wedding diet.
I hope you had a great weekend! I also spent some time this weekend reading some of the vintage Wedding books my mother gave me when I was engaged. It is so funny how so many things change but yet some traditions remain true.

Go you for being productive, despite not wanting to haha. Air brush make-up IS for real and it’s amaaaaaaazing!!!! Ahh the joys of doing the guest list–that was slightly stressful for us, too, but once it’s done, you’re good. Minted has some awesome invitations–can’t wait to see what you chose (if you share!)

I’m curious now what your wedding gift is. :) I bought Ryan a Citizen watch, and I received a diamond bracelet from him that he consulted with my mom on so I was able to wear it on our wedding day. Something I’ll definitely treasure forever!

Oh girl, my wedding band come out completely differently than I had planned, too! It’s crazy when you try them on and see it next to your engagement ring, and realize what you thought would look good… Doesn’t.
