Weekending – The One Where I Slept Past 9 + Rebecca Minkoff Giveaway
March 2, 2015Happy Monday my loves! Back to the real world and the grind of things. Mark was gone this weekend for work (I know boooo first one together as husband and wife) but shhhh no lie it was okay because I got so much done. When I say so much done I mean I slept with no alarm, binge watched Gilmore girls and did lots of blog research and writing. Oh and with plenty of thank you cards thrown in there. I also have the honeymoon just about completely planned out and ready to hit confirm. I can’t wait to tell you all where we are going and to share all the fabulous details! So this weekend as mentioned above was spent in some major PJ wear. I joked when I went out for one of my bridesmaids birthday dinner on Saturday that it forced me to put some real clothes on. I have been soaking up every pretty bloom of these flowers Mark got for me after the wedding. I told him it was like being back in the courting times. This 7th Avenue Apothecary candle is a local company here in Tampa and it literally gives every Nest/Jo Malone/Diptyque a total run for their money at half the price. It burns so evenly and the scent fills the entire house. I have the Primerose and Teakwood currently burning and it is seriously heavenly. Plus supporting local business! So many businesses around town are burning these candles and they smell amazing.
Saturday was spent with 25 tab browsers open finalizing all the honeymoon plans while texting Mark all the details. It felt great to get out of the house for a little catching up with my bridesmaids!
We went to a new spot that used to be a really popular place called the Rack which closed down and has been revamped by our favorite Thai/sushi place The Grand Siam (that I’m always talking about in my recaps from the weekend). The new spot is called the Hyde Out and it definitely is a restaurant that is more of a bar/to be seen kind of place. The food was alright if you had a few drinks in you…..which I didn’t. So I enjoyed the fries and I will continue to enjoy our neighborhood spot.
I wore this lace top that I told you about here. Seriously I am obsessed. I insist you guys get it. It was less than $15. It is incredible soft, has the perfect amount of stretch and looks super high end. I want it in every color. My original one is sold out (of course it is) but here is similar in black and exact in white & blush.
Check out the scalloped edges on it. Oh and for everyone who was asking what I did for my wedding band. I went with a matching platinum band because everything I tried putting up against my solitaire wasn’t looking right. I love this clean look. Also leads plenty of opportunity for right handed rings and after my wedding gift you’ll also see why I went that route ;-) Wedding mani going strong!
Sunday was spent teaching Barre and doing some major scouting for you at Target. I am excited to tell you I basically tried on every bathing suit top they have to offer because it pretty much felt like Summer here on Sunday. Who wants to come and visit me?

So sorry your man wasn’t there for the weekend, but like we said, more time for GG and blog stuff! Still looks like you had a super productive day (sometimes the most productive ones are in PJs haha). Can’t wait to hear about the planned honeymoon! I need to go shopping for some bathing suits–our anniversary trip is THIS MONTH! Which also means I need to hit it hard with the workouts haha.

I bought a top at work that has lace on the shoulder and upper arm area. I love it but I feel like I can’t layer it underneath something because then you can’t see the lace. Boo. Your top is gorgeous though! What a great price too. The band looks good, especially with your bright manicure. :-) Those flowers are pretty too. Can’t wait to see more wedding pictures and hear the honeymoon details!! :-)
Sounds like such a great weekend despite your hubs (AH!) being out of town! Sometimes down time at home is the perfect way to recharge! But obviously a night out with your girls looked SO fun!

Love the scalloped sleeves. I went shopping around town Saturday and spotted scallops everywhere, the trend is definitely sticking around. I’m jealous of all of your Target bathing suits, I can never fit into their tops so I end up mixing and matching bottoms with just plain black tops.

Hahha I did not put on jeans until 5 PM on Sunday to go to church. I was in yogas or pjs the rest of the time and it was glorious. Love all those target swimsuits!! I am still on the hunt for the perfect one!

I’m in love with that top! I have a swimsuit top obsession…I buy at least one every year…at least being VERY liberal…& am almost never at the beach.

Sounds like you had a productive weekend! I hate when a restaurant has a cool feel to it but then lacks on food. It can be a hole in the wall, just as long as it has delicious food I will have a good time and be back!

So many things I want to comment on! First off, marriage looks amazing on you! And it never gets old looking down and seeing your wedding band with your engagement ring! :) And finalizing all the honeymoon stuff sounds like a dream! You’re going to have so much fun!
