Hi All, I’m Marie from Twin Living and I’m so excited to be guest hosting while Amanda is on her honeymoon. I think the world of her and love her blog. She is just the sweetest thing and I’m happy to call her my friend. I hope her and Mark are having a blast in Greece.
Today, I’m sharing my summer favorites fashion. To be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with the Summer. While I love a nice sunny day, I dislike the heat and humidity. Another reason is that at my second job the dress code is strict, no sleeveless shirts, shorts or crop pants. Can you believe that? We are allowed to wear open toe shoes. Since I go from job to job in one day, it’s really a struggle to find the appropriate clothing.

Ok, I know, a t-shirt?? This is one of the best things I have ever purchased. It’s a 100% cotton tee and very well made. It doesn’t scream t-shirt and can go with so many different things and you can dress it up or down. I usually wear this with my navy skirt and a pair of pearls. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on this when I wear it.

It can go with so many thing sand since it’s 100% cotton, it’s lightweight enough to wear on those hot days. Plus it is on sale so grab it now here!
Chambray Tunic Shirt
I love tunic’s and ankle pants for the summer.
To be honest, I probably break the rules when wearing a “chambray” tunic but no one has yet to say anything about it. It’s possible because I dress it up with accessories. I find that the darker chambray tunics tend to be more “dressy” than the light color ones.
Black Ankle Pants
I absolutely love ankle pants. Wear them dressed up or dressed down. Heels or flats. They go with everything.
White Dress
I love a white dress in the summer, with a little sweater or jacket. Perfect for those hot humid days. Side note when I wear white, I always make sure to have a tide pen in my purse. Just in case.
Pink Cardigan
Pink is my favorite color, it’s only appropriate that I wear a pink cardigan in the summer. It’s colorful and goes with so many things.
Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow
Love the Meteorites Powder by Guerlain? This is that but in a liquid form. It’s similar to a bb cream but better. It very hydrating so it makes your skin look radiant. It makes my skin glow and it doesn’t seep into my pores. Love this stuff. Oh and it has SPF 30 in it.
Alterna’Bamboo Beach – Summer Sunshine Spray’ Protective Shine Veil
Since I color my hair and want to make my color last as long as possible, I spray a little bit of this in my hair before I head out to the beach. It does a great job in protecting my color as well as help with that dreaded frizz. Plus, I love the smell. Find it here.
Fresh Sugar Tint in Rose
I always wear lipstick or lipgloss, even at the beach. Otherwise, I look dead. Seriously. I usually wear one of the Fresh Sugar Tints. I love them. I wear them over my lipstick. I think they help make my lip color last longer while keeping my lips hydrated. Rose is my favorite for the summer as it’s makes your lips a rosy pink.
Kiehl’s Since 1851 ‘Activated Sun Protector’ Sunscreen SPF 50
I always carry a bottle of sunscreen in my bag. I like this one because it’s paraben and silicone free. It does not irritate my skin at all. Also, I have used it on my face and it didn’t clog my pores or bother my eyes. Oh and it doesn’t get sticky in the sun.

Marie your feelings on summer sound just like mine! Love the sunshine but once the humidity comes and 100+ temps id rather be inside! I need to try that Sunshine spray! My hair can get so frizzy in the summer and I know the sun only makes it worse!

Love those crop pants! I have definitely been buying more “work” clothes than “fun” clothes lately. However, I try to buy things that I can transition after work to a night out with friends or hubs. Love your picks!

I love all your clothing picks for the summer! That stinks that you cant wear sleeveless tops or cropped pants, boo!!! I am going to have to look in to that sunscreen!!! The worst thing ever is that burn feeling you get around the eyes from the cheaper ones.

Loving your picks girl! I used to have a strict dress code for work too, and it was so hard to find appropriate attire to wear in the heat of summer in Florida. My favs are the ankle pants and the white dress, so pretty :)
