The Best Editing Software for Your Blog BeFunky

June 11, 2015

A few months ago, I was putting together a collage for the blog that consisted of multiple buttons of other bloggers.  Every single time I had to put one together in the past, it literally made me cringe.  With my previous editing software for the blog, I would pretty much kiss an entire weekend day away with how long it would take me to upload, resize and format collages into a neat square with a custom logo.

BeFunky

This last time I took to searching for other resources and stumbled upon BeFunky.  I put together my collage in 15 minutes and I wanted to shout from the rooftops how happy I was to have found it.  Naturally, I shared it with a few fellow bloggers and heard great feedback on how versatile it was.  I talked about how much I was using it in this post about how to grow your blog with pinterest.  I was then contacted by BeFunky and asked if I wanted to put together a tutorial about how user friendly it is for us bloggers and for anyone else who wants to make custom pictures or have user friendly photo editing resource.  I of course jumped at the chance because I seriously use this software every single day.  The more I use it, the more I am fully convinced it is the only editing tools for your blog you will need and I will show you why here.

The Best Editing Software For Your Blog

First of all, let’s talk about how easy it is to make collages.

editing softwarebefunky collagesbefunky collages

Pick the template you want or you can create your own custom one.  Then, start adding the pictures you want into the areas.  You can move them around to your liking.

You can then open each individual photo if you would like, edit, and then the changes appear in your collages.  Then you can add overlays, text boxes anything to make your pictures stand out and be more “pinnable” if you will.  Here is my finished collage of Santorini.  It took me all of 2 minutes to make this. I always wondered how photographers were able to make such beautiful collages…..well with this editing tool…..I’m feeling pretty professional over here.

Also you know when you want to make a perfect circle for your blog buttons?  Done in 30 seconds.

I was exclusively using it to make my blog collages and headline grabbing graphics, when I started playing around with the photo editing tools.  I was blown away.  I try not to over edit my pictures but let’s do a little before and after shall we?

Look how dark this picture was to begin with.  To the point I almost trashed it.

Then I uploaded it into the BeFunky editing software and played around with the exposure.befunky

Isn’t this unbelievable?  I sharpened it slightly and now this picture is frame worthy.  I am so impressed. Do you know how long this would have taken me in my other editing software that I was using before?  Well, after I was done probably watching youtube tutorials on it….hours.  Your blogging time will be cut in half with how quick and precise this editing software is.

Now let’s talk about that beautifying and photo effects.  Once again I try not to edit my photos that much but when that shadow hits your face in a picture isn’t it nice to know the photo is still salvageable?

BeFunky

Here is the best part.  Oh yes, there is an app feature as well.  I can’t tell you how many times before I would get so aggravated that my favorite app editing tool was only available in an app or only on the computer or vice versa.  Then I would have to email my photos that I had on my computer to edit them on my phone.  Well BeFunky has both.  You can edit directly from your phone or on your computer.  I am so impressed with the app tools.  Let’s see how functional it is.

Honestly I could go on and on about how fantastic this editor is but I think you need to see for yourself.  I have only touched on a fraction of what this software can do.  Start playing around with it and let me know which features are your favorite!

The best part is this editing tool is free!  Of course with all editing software, there are premium upgrades you can buy but they are pretty reasonable.  With that said, the free version is extremely thorough.  What I usually do with software like this is play around with the free editing first and if I’m using it routinely, I will upgrade it.  The upgraded fonts and additional editing are impressive.  Plus, it has saved me so much time, which as you all know…..is a premium for me and you as well!

I hope you check this software out!  You will be impressed with how intuitive and user friendly BeFunky is!  Let me know your thoughts.  Check you all tomorrow for Friday favorites!  xoxoxo

Never heard of this program before. I usually just do photoshop but sometimes need something else, I can’t stand PicMonkey so I will try this out and see how I like it. Thanks so much for the suggestion and great examples.

I’ve never heard of this software, but I’m so happy you shared it! Lately I’ve been frustrated with photo editing software. I currently use PicMonkey but I’m not super happy with it, especially for making collages. I’ve tried Canva a couple times, but I always get annoyed because I don’t know how to use it and it is lacking some of the things I need so I just go back to PicMonkey. I’m going to check this out! The collage templates look awesome.

That’s so fancy!! I definitely struggled at the whole collage thing before I finally settled on my current workflow with blogstomp… but it looks like this is another great option! I love the circle thing – it took me FOREVER to figure that out and I think I ended up using powerpoint to do it… lol… which tells you how many different options I tried first.

Never heard of it! It looks like it has the exact same functionality as PicMonky Royale, but with a few more Pinterest template options. I think even the Royale version of that only has 4-6. Seriously, with all these great online editing tools, Photoshop should be worried!

Nice!! I LOVE Canva for Pinterest graphic making, but there’s virtually zero editing software. I’ll have to check this out.
