Happy Friday y’all.  This was a jam packed week for sure!  I am so ready for this weekend, I know I sound like a broken record but I am so ready for some beach time and relaxation.  I have a feeling this Fall is going to fly by.  Football, long weekend getaways and then before you know it, the holidays will be upon us.  I wanted to thank everyone for your sweet words yesterday.  I am such an advocate for education and empowering of women.  Did you have a chance to catch the Ellen clip?  She donated $10,000 to Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson to help further her education for her Masters degree.  Finally!  Hats off to you Ellen for helping to get another high quality professional out in the community to make a difference.  Okay, lets get into these favorites!

Favorite Song

This beat though.  How can you sit still when you hear this one?  Icona Pop “Emergency”.

Favorite Recipe

I snapped away while cooking this the other night and promised I would share.  It certainly doesn’t photograph pretty but oh it tastes so good.

Spicy Sriracha Almond Butter Noodles copy

Spicy Sriracha chicken Almond Butter noodles

-Start with sesame oil in the pan, bring up to medium heat then add a shallot.
-Added diced chicken and Asian seasoning rub (I got mine at Costco but any store carries it).
-Add low sodium soy sauce and sriracha.  Then add whatever veggies you have on hand.  I used peppers, squash and mushrooms.
-While that cooks, boil up some noodles.  I used quinoa noodles but that was because Mark wasn’t home.  Any kinda that you have will work.
-Then add almond butter and red pepper flakes.
-When the noodles are cooked, use a tong and add them into the pan.  The starch from the noodles will thicken the sauce and will coat the noodles evenly.  Then you don’t have to clean a strainer.
-Try to not eat the entire recipe, from the pot, with a fork before it makes it to your plate.  Not too specific or anything.  Enjoy!

Favorite Workout

I have gotten such awesome feedback from this 5k workout I posted on Wednesday.  So happy to hear it has motivated so many of you to get out there and break a sweat.  Pin away and tell me your favorite song from the list!

5k Running Playlist

Favorite Purchase

Y’all know how much I love my Tieks but that price point is such a deterrent.  Well, I picked up these yosi ballet flats on major sale and I love them.  The patent leather toe are perfection because you know I tend to bash my feet into things.  They go with everything and they are soooooooo comfortable!  Do yourself a favor and snag them before they sell out!  On sale for half of what they usually sell for at Nordstrom on myhabit here.

    Love the playlist!!
I just caved and got a premium spotify account so I can listen to music at the gym and while driving and not use up my data.
I am always using the already made playlists but this looks like a great one to add into my mix.
Have a wonderful weekend Amanda! !

Your recipe looks delicious!! Those flats are super cute. I pulled mine out for the first time on Tuesday and highly regretted it. I had a ton of errands to run on my lunch and I clocked over 10,000 steps that day. By the time 2 or 3 rolled around, I highly regretted the decision. No flats are as comfortable as flip flops lol. I laughed hard at the eating in the car gif. I mean don’t leave me bored in the car, I need a snack! Hope you have a great weekend!!!!!

The Tupac and text quote tho! Hahahaha! I snort laughed at that one! I don’t ride with hubs while we run errands anymore because um – kids – but if I DID, that would be exactly what it’s like. And if he tells me he has two to run, I know he actually means more like 10, and it will take no less than 3 hours. Ooff. Bring snacks is right!
