What I’m Packing for the Life is Beautiful Festival 2016

I’m not going to lie to you guys.  I had the HARDEST time trying to pack for the Life is Beautiful Festival 2016 that I am about to leave for in a few short days.  First of all, whenever I did my research for this event and really all festivals in general, do you know what I kept on seeing over and over again in regards to the fashion?  Those high waisted “mom shorts” that are the most unflattering things in the world paired with a bikini top.  That just wasn’t going to cut it for me.  I am extremely picky when it comes to choosing looks to share on the blog and Instagram.  I like pieces that are visually interesting but yet are wearable in “real life“.  I try to stay conscious on price points and making sure a piece has a good ROI.  It has to be a multi-tasking piece that can be worn again.  I have limited closet space and everything has to be worth the real estate space.  Plus, it is going to be Vegas hot during the day and then cold at night.  So much to account for!  However, since I am partnering with Zappos for this event, it was a match made in Heaven.  I seriously had 6 orders to get it right. My last order I placed at 4pm EST and I had it to my door the next day. Plus, did you know they had a 365-day return policy??  It really doesn’t get any better than that right?

What I Packed for the Life is Beautiful Festival 2016

I wanted to have a light and airy romper with a fun to photograph back and this piece by Brigitte Bailey fit the bill perfectly.  Also, major new brand crush on Brigitte Bailey.  Aren’t her pieces so cute and such a great price point.  Just make sure to size up, she runs more like a Junior size.  I got the romper in a medium and this floral bell sleeved dress as well.  I adore this flowy tunic by Free People.  It is lightweight, non-wrinkle, and can be styled so many different ways.  It can be worn by itself, half tucked into BF shorts, or at night pair it with a great pair of skinnies.  Runs large, I picked it up in an XS.  I love the print of this BB Dakota dress plus I adore long sleeve dresses for the Fall.

My absolute favorite piece is this off the shoulder sweater by Free People.  The nights will be cooler there so I can throw this over any of my outfits.  I love how feminine it is and it just makes any outfit right?  I wanted one really funky and fun piece and this lace number fits the bill.

I also have been wearing this lace up top on major repeat.  It keeps everything sucked in and get ready to see it all the time.  I’ve also been on the hunt for a burgundy floppy hat and this one goes with everything.  I’m also so excited to announce that Dolce Vita one of my favorite shoe brands is in on this collaboration as well.  Chunky accent buckles are trending for the Fall and how fabulous is this pair?

My absolute favorite suitcase, it fits so much!

Let’s talk about this festival!

When I was approached for this opportunity I was initially a little hesitant.  I treat my blog like a business but could I really fly across the country for an event for it?  I mean, this is big-time stuff.  I talked with Mark and he was beyond excited for me and really pushed me to do it.  I’m glad I have him. I can be such a homebody shell retreating in Cancer (my sign) sometimes.  The more I looked into the event, the more I knew I made the right decision by saying yes.  Not only does the Life is Beautiful Festival have amazing acts that I am so excited to see like Mumford and Sons, the Lumineers, and Mark is excited about J. Cole.  Plus, my EDM loving self is going to break out some glow sticks (is that still even cool??) and dance the night away under the desert skies.  Check out the full line up for the Life is Beautiful Festival 2016 here.

Not only does the festival have killer musical acts but there is also a strong focus on arts (hello wall murals) food and influential speakers.  You have to make sure you follow along on my Snapchat and Instagram Stories because I will be sharing the experience the whole time I’m there.  The festival is this coming weekend September 23rd – 25th.  If you are local, tickets are still available!  Come and party with me, I swear I’m pretty fun. I can’t wait to head to the Life is Beautiful Festival 2016 and thank you to Zappos for sponsoring this post and opportunity!
