Happy Monday dolls.  I hope everyone had a nice holiday with their family and celebrating the loved ones in your life.  My mother is pretty much my lifeline and I talk to her twice a day.   I probably would be in a lot of therapy if I didn’t have my mother coaching me through life.  It was also my dad’s birthday as well.  My parents are my biggest supporters and I owe everything to them.  I am so fortunate to have them so close so that I can see them on a regular basis.  Love you both!  My weekend started off with an outing to our favorite local restaurant Bartaco.  You are all pretty familiar by now how much we love this local establishment.  They also have a handful of locations around the US check them out here.  We really don’t go out to eat that much because we meal plan for the week and have an entire stocked wine fridge.  However, when we do, Bartaco is always in our rotation.  Bartaco also loves bloggers and always wants us to get the word out when there is a new secret taco to try.

This time it was a soft shell crab taco with lemon aioli drizzled with what tasted like some picked vegetables.  I am not a big fried food person at all but I will say this had a ton of flavor.  Also, the taco was super filling.  Mark loves soft shell crab so he was all over this one.  Also, side note, I give so much credit to food bloggers.  Styling food is no joke.

I love the location of the Bartaco in Hyde Park.  Currently, Hyde Park Village is in the midst of tons of construction around it but you still feel like you are in your own island retreat.  The service is always impeccable and incredibly friendly.

Make sure you save room for my favorite part as well which is the dessert.  I always get the mint gelato and Mark gets the key lime pie in a mini jar.  I usually steal a little of his as well.

I wore this adorable slip dress from Amanda Uprichard to dinner.  Seriously, isn’t it the cutest print ever?!?!?  Give me all the palm prints, please!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and if you have a local Bartaco to you, I highly recommend checking them.  Do you have a local restaurant that is your total favorite?  Thank you to Bartaco Hyde Park Village for our special night out.  We did receive a complimentary dinner in exchange for my review.  I can’t wait for our next trip back, I’m dreaming of those tacos already!

Photos are so gorgeous! I wish we had one of those around here, looks so good and we have no good Mexican food here. I hear you on the food styling, it is so hard to get it to just look okay, I am trying to get better every day! I love that dress!

I really like that slip dress. It looks comfortable. My favorite dresses/outfits are comfortable without being sloppy.

I love visiting restaurants like this. We have a similar one but the food and drinks in your photos look SO much more delicious and I love the huge open bar area!

What a fun atmosphere! I could totally sit at that bar for a drink (or 5!). And that dress is adorable… Amanda Uprichard does it again!

Bar Taco is ALWAYS a good idea!! Those soft-shell crab tacos look so good, but the pork belly will always have my heart! :) I’m a fan of hopping over to Sprinkles for a sundae dessert too :)
