Is it really Monday? Like where the heck did the weekend go?? As always I was trying to get a million things accomplished and before you know it….it was 10pm on Sunday and I was laying out my supplies for Monday. Let’s try and recap this whirlwind of a weekend shall we?
It was actually cold enough to bust out the leather coat yeah!
Mark was playing in a softball tournament all weekend so my Mother and Aunt Dona came up for some girl time and wedding dress shopping. We stopped by my favorite haunt…Piquant. I think I am going there too much. One of the waitresses who I usually have stopped me on the way out and goes “you didn’t get the chicken salad….I was so surprised! I purposely asked your waitress if you got the chicken salad with a side of guava BBQ sauce and coffee with no sugar…” I was like…..wow either I come here too much or I need to start expanding on my ordering.
Then we went to dress shopping around Tampa….where I may or may not have been successful ;-)
Sunday was a busy one! I helped my friend Kelly decorate her new place at where else Homegoods. They have the best selection and clearance sections. I also found my “lunch traveller” from this post. It is made by Fit and Fresh here is the link. They were at Homegoods for 14.99 plus it had the tupperware on the inside with a cold pack. If you have been looking for one definitely check it out.
I can’t wait to start registering! First thing on my list is a new crock pot….don’t get me wrong I love my mom’s from the year I was born…here is my taco soup that was also accomplished on Sunday stay tuned recipe to follow this week…however I was told by my friend and hairdresser Jesse (oh I also got my hair done on Saturday! Jesse is amazing if anyone is in need message me for details. I went a little darker….not like this post darker but a few more lowlights and I love it!) Sorry back to Jesse who is newly married said I needed to get this Williams and Sonoma slow cooker that has a cast aluminum insert that comes out and you can brown on the stove with (wow the things I am getting excited over now? No longer shoes and bags but cast iron slow cookers).
Note the two settings….low and high…..fancy around these parts
They have such pretty artwork at great prices. I’m a little partial now to the Chrysler building from our engagement weekend.
Have you ever gotten this ominous message from your Keurig? Well after some youtube video searching I learned how to “prime” my Keurig with white distilled vinegar….can you imagine what hot vinegar smells like? Yeah not that good but anyways my Keurig is now much happier after 30+ brews of hot vinegar followed by filtered water…..at the same time as I was making taco soup….and talking on the phone…..and eating peppermint M&M’s while practicing for my Barre class that I was teaching at 4. I clearly like to multitask.
Other random musings from the weekend…..what three girls dinner looked like on Saturday night….the best coffee in Tampa in my opinion….using my Glam Glow mask because there were no boys home to scare with it on (review to follow!)
Favorite nail polish for the weekend. This dark color that came in the CND Vinylux collection the review is here. Also if you are at Target check out your clearance rack for this maxi. It is absolutely perfect for the summer. I have a feeling I will be living in this. It has great construction of the dress and the skirt hangs perfectly. It looks a lot more expensive then it is and was a steal at $20! Got to love Florida….trying on maxi dresses one minute and wearing leather coats that night!
How was your weekend? Any fun happenings? Hope you have a great day! Stay tuned this week for my first giveaway hint it was something listed in this post and also check back for my taco soup recipe! xoxoxoxoxo

Sounds like a fun weekend! I loved wedding dress shopping! Word of advice – enjoy it while it lasts! Try on as many dresse as possible without going crazy! Ah, how times change once you get engaged…it’s all about the kitchen ware and gadgets and less about shoes and clothes (well, they still play a part ;) )… Love that nail polish and dress! xoxo, Lindsay

Woo hoo for “possilbly” finding the wedding dress! – Best purchase ever! I’m pretty sure our crockpot is from the same collection haha!! Love the maxi!! Jam Packed weekend…i’m thankful to have today off! :)

I have two crockpots, and both have only the “low” and “high” settings, LOL. They both work great so I have not been able to justify the purchase of a new one, though I would like one that you could program to come on at a certain time. It would eliminate burned bbq chicken…ha.

I wish I was wearing a sleeveless maxi dress right now. Hurry up Spring!! I must go to Homegoods after work and look for a lunch bag! I am still shoving my food in my gym/work bag. Ew. And you sound like me at restaurants. I go over and over and get the same thing.
