Thank goodness it’s Friday!  For real this was a long week!  Let’s round up some Friday Favorites shall we?

Favorite Song
Switching it up this week!  I absolutely adore her voice and this song has such an amazing beat.  I think it is impossible to not be in a good mood while listening to it!

Favorite Workout
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about Barre classes and I found this great video with my favorite Tone It Up Girls.  Renee Herlocker was a Pure Barre gal so this video is a nice 15 minute overview of some moves you would see in a typical class.  A full Barre class is 55 minutes.  I was cracking up watching Katrina in the beginning she kept on dropping out of the poses.  Also note both the girls were moving their legs a lot.  Renee kept on cueing “small range of movements”….In Barre the smaller the movements the more you can work deep into the muscle group.  So if you wanted a taste of a class check out this video!  Let me know what you think and if you have any questions!

Favorite Recipe
I made this recipe this week.  It involved taking out my mandolin and not almost slicing my finger off.  I actually used the “safety” top for once….wow what a difference it made!  I substituted agave nectar inside of maple syrup.  I sautéed shallots in sesame oil and then added it to the sauce.  Also make sure you use thai basil.  It has a completely different taste to it in my opinion.  It has a more mild taste and works well in the asian dishes.  I stopped by my Asian market to grab it.  That is my favorite place!  I never know what fun discoveries with sauces or seasonings I will find.

Favorite Pins and Musings
I have been obsessed with pinning fashion sketches lately!  Probably because like all things Pinterest you can’t really do that much with them after you pin them to a board and forget about them right?  Oh that and children who have way more fashion sense than I do (or at least moms who dress them that way!)  I mean one of them looks like Victoria Beckham right?

Favorite Funnies

Every time!  In all fairness though I think someone is hiding under my car whenever I go to get in it.
(via Pinterest)
I think this was instilled in me from childhood “never answer the door for anybody!”
One of my girlfriends sent me this one and it was too good not to use.  Please excuse the profanity but it was too good not to share.  I could so see myself doing this!
(via Pinterest)
Isn’t this the truth?  I don’t even have Mark’s number memorized is that bad??? (in all fairness he got a new number like…a year ago)
(via Pinterest)
Definitely gave me a good laugh when my friend forwarded this pin to me thought I “might be interested in this one”.
(via Pinterest)
Finally leave you with some straight truth!

The winner of the Erin Condren Giveaway is…….Aimee Lucas!  Congratulations on winning the $50 giftcard!!!  xoxoxoxoxo

Colbie Caillat is adorable! Your recipe looks delish. I often substitute agave for any other type of sweetener too, and sauteed shallots add so much flavor to everything. Love them!!! And, oh yes, the lovely cork stuck in the wine bottle…gotta hate it!
    Happy Friday, darling.

Haha! The only numbers I know are the ones I still have memorized from childhood! If I went to jail, luckily I could call my parents, otherwise it’d be my a few of my friends’ parents at their home number, since I never bothered to learn my friends cell phones!

Love your Friday posts they always crack me up. That beach workout video is great…but I secretly hate how they’re on a beach and not in the gym… I need to get past the fact that I would pretty much do anything to be on a beach right now!

    Have a great weekend Amanda!

Fabulous ecards and pics per usual ha. Love them all about equally. I’ll have to break out my mandolin (never used) and try that recipe soon! Have a great weekend, lady! Oh – and thought of you because OLD NAVY of all places has a really comparable workout top to the one you blogged about recently. It’s called the compression tank and I LOVE mine so much I ordered two more. They’re 25% off right now too!

I just came across your blog and I have to say…I love it! It was a great read. Your food looked delicious, care to share the recipe?? Also the funnies were hilarious. I love the idea of weekly favourites, I do something similar but it’s my meal diary and drift off into everything I got up to in the week but I might incorporate something similar. You’ve a new follower here, I’d love it if you had a look at my blog.

You know shits gettin’ serious when you whip out the mandolin! Good job keeping the safety on. One of my coworkers learned the hard way and OH MY GOD! I will never slice without it now!! I work from home and we get a lot of solicitors. You’d think I was used to it, but I still freak every time the doorbell rings and watch them entirely too long to make sure they really went away :)

These are all great! The cat picture is totally me when someone knocks…and then I run to my bedroom :) And that memorizing phone numbers so true – the only reason I know my bf’s number is because it’s only one number different then mine, otherwise I’d be screwed!

Hope you have a nice weekend!
