Friday Favorites- The Countdown is On
February 21, 2014Honestly didn’t this feel like the longest week ever? I swear all day on Wednesday I thought it was Friday and I was ready to pack it up and go home. Did anyone else feel that way?
This week was quite productive over here at this space I like to call my blog. I guest posted at one of my favorite big time bloggers Helene. I got my act together and made a button. I don’t really particularly know what that entails but it’s on my sidebar if you want to grab it and I’ll love yah forever and ever that’s how it must be….to live without you would only mean heartbreak for me! Sorry for breaking into random song…I tend to do that….a lot….I love that part of My Best Friends wedding. Don’t you wish sometimes you could break into a random singalong and everyone would join? Or like in She’s All That when they have the prom dance scene and everyone knows the steps?
Like always I digress. The other exciting news is I finally got on Twitter. Yes! Another exciting way for me to waste time and not be productive at work and life. Follow me along with my random crazy girl musings @meetatthebarre.
Okay let’s get into my favorite type of post of the week (see what I just did there?) Friday Favorites let’s take it away!
Favorite Song
Getting back to my roots I cannot get enough of this song. This is one of those songs that it’s like windows down, sunroof open, top down (if you’re lucky enough to have a convertible)…sunglasses on, hair flying around like crazy…sunshine on your face….singing at the top of your lungs….Summer song. Did I paint a clear enough picture? Who’s ready for warm weather, tan skin, flip flops and the sun not setting till late Summer nights? This song is ready for it.
Favorite Recipes
I have searched and finally narrowed down my favorite Chicken Marsala Recipe on Pinterest. This is a staple in my household and I made it this week with Trader Joe’s Spinach & Chive Linguine Pasta….so good….if you haven’t tried it….do it….I promise you won’t regret it. Favorite Workout
I have been getting so many questions about Barre workouts. Here is a very quick video with Margaret Ward she is a master Pure Barre teacher (she was at my training!) Everyone get’s so intimated by the ballet barre….read this post…it’s just there for support. She shows three thigh exercises that are typical of what you could expect in the thigh section of a Pure Barre class. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions!

Alright the countdown is officially on! Less than one year till I have tricked this amazing man into marrying me….just kidding he loves this crazy one over here. As I tell him on a daily basis “you love the crazy…I keep it interesting right??”

Due to my past life as a figure skater you can imagine that I’ve been glued to the Olympic Figure Skating as of recent. OH NO!!!! I’m so guilty of wearing leggings as pants. I swear they’re the thicker kinds (not those flimsy pieces of crap that really belong under a dress). But I had an operation a couple months ago–and my belly button still hates the idea of having real pants on. I will make no apologies. I will rock my legging pants. haha! I’m so sorry about your watch!! That makes me want to wail–although–if I had to replace it I’d go with the corally one (the very bottom) in that picture! I swoon!! I seriously thought it was Friday all day yesterday!!! I was even telling my husband that we should go grab dinner, and have some wine, and even did my hair. When he got home and reminded me it was Thursday I nearly cried!! Lol

I have got to say I LOVE leggings as well. Sweater leggings can totally count as pants haha. Jeans are too constricting for me when with the kids.(bending down constantly picking up toys, etc) I prefer a dress or leggings any day.

No, no, it wasn’t just you…this week truly was the longest ever. And you totally sound like me about the button haha, I’ve been blogging for years and I’m still so lost.
