Some Fall Fashion Trends……Yea or Nay?
September 30, 2014I got a text from Biana on Sunday with her in an adorable Fall hat which now I’m convinced I need to add to my collection. In her text she labelled it “hat yea or nay?” As I was driving back from Barre tonight that phrase from B came back into my head as I was perusing some recent Fall trends. So give me your thoughts when it comes to these trends that I’ve been seeing all over.

This one will probably be added to my closet but this chain beauty definitely is on my radar as well! Double the points for hat and fur vest!

I am kind of digging the fur vests! I often see big fur coats here but I think a vest is about all the fur I could handle.
I can’t handle the fur but I am all over the plaid trend. I’ll be sure to be rocking a Fall hat too.
Yes to all of these except maybe the fringe – I don’t think I could pull it off!! Can’t wait for my faux fur vest to arrive and pair it with my hat and plaid shirt…just kidding that would be over kill lol!! Love this post!!
Obviously, you know my love for leather already…have you found the leggings yet? I am not sure I could pull off a fur vest but I like the look on others. I do want to get a vest this year of some kind. Also, I love that plaid is coming back. Just yes! I have got to find a plaid shirt ASAP. (I have issues with 95% of button down shirts, If they fit on top they are too big in the stomach, and if it fits in the stomach it will never button over my chest. Sigh,) And I like fringe like things on some people, but not for me. I look ridiculous in hats.

Is it bad that all of my favorite fur vests you posted were from Forever 21? That never happens! And I LOVE hats for the fall… and winter, spring and summer! I’m obsessed with hats!! I just bought a leather skirt from Express that I can’t wait to bust out!

After the wedding I am doing some WARDROBE revive shopping. I need some nice casual clothes – all I have is work clothes and workout clothes – and PAJAMAS. That’s just not right.
Yay to plaid and hats and leather accents. Nay to fur vests and fringe.
Love all the trends except for plaid skirts. Since you know that I went to Catholic school, I’m never wearing a plaid skirt again. The hat is cute, but this is Chicago, that thing will blow right off haha. Moving on… If you met me a year ago, I would only say yes to the fur vest. After returning to the retail world, I’ve learned to embrace all trends. I also think that they’re all worth trying. People think that they can’t pull it off, or that they don’t have the right body type, but that is not true. Same goes for age. There is a way for a woman in her 60s to wear a trend and look good. You just have to find the right pieces. I could go on forever on this subject. :-) But I won’t haha. I hope that you’re having a great day so far!! :-)
I just LOVE fall. I have to pull out my Forever 21 fall vest from last year. I never thought to pair it with plaid but I love the look you shared.

Honestly, I like them all. They’re all cute! The fur vest is probably the only one I don’t think I would personally wear, but I like it on others :)
I love everything except for fringe. I don’t like fringe anything. I love love plaid!! So excited that its so popular. Although, every time I wear a plaid skirt, I feel like i’m in prep school again as they were part of the uniform. Other times, I feel like I’m being naughty like in a Britney Spears video! Plus I wear glasses so EVERY makes some smart remark when I’m wearing my plaid skirt!! Does make for a good laugh I suppose.
I love all those fall trends, though I never feel like I can pull of hats! I got a fur vest a few falls ago and some people love it and some people tell me it’s my bear vest, I don’t care I still love it!

well I guess I fail at all of them – no way to fur vests, or leather or hats… or fringe… just not my style! I do like plaid but just don’t think I can pull it off without looking like i’m trying too hard, you know?
I had to wear a catholic school uniform for 7 years, so I have a severe aversion to plaid. I can’t even touch it in store!!
I’m going to say yes to all; although, I would not wear a fur vest. I think the right person could pull it off and make it look super cute!

All of these are yay’s EXCEPT fur vests! I just can’t get into those. They add too much bulk, and unless you go high end, you look like a polyester nightmare. For realsies. All those models look like a bear. Or maybe a member of the band Gwar? And when the model doesn’t even look good in it… You know you’re in trouble!

I am allllll about some fringe and fur vests. I like the leather accents but I’m picky about them. I love the look of leather leggings but I would look ridiculous wearing them. I love all of the options you provided! Now to add them to my must buy right now vs can wait until Christmas shopping lists.

Leather, plaid and hats are all yes yes yes for me! I don’t think I could really pull off a fur vest, even though I think it looks fabulous on other people. I’m still on the hunt for my ideal plaid (it really should not be this hard but I’m so picky!) but at least I got those taupe boots crossed off my list!

Okay, not only OMG to those leather leggings, but OMG the shoes in that image! I could cry they’re so perfect. I can’t really get down with fur vests and I’m not a fan of fringe but a great big hells yes to leather (always faux for me though) and plaid. I’m also a fan of winter hats like beanies/skull caps but I’ve been flirting with the idea of some like the ones you listed. Thanks for sharing your picks!

I am 100% yay to everything except the fringe!! The fringe is only occasionally a yay, but when it is a yay, it is perfect! Faux fur vests are my favorite though!

i tried on some fake leather leggings yesterday…in the kid section of target. a fur vest too. i mean it’s like half the price/!?!
