Welcome back to Monday my loves. This weekend was one for the books down here in Florida. I had a lot of soul searching it felt like over these past few days. Life has just been so crazy and go go go (which I am sure you all have been feeling like). I taught a few classes, had my wonderful in-laws in town and we dreamed looked at houses.
The weather was absolutely breathtaking down here. When my girlfriend and former bridesmaid Abbey called me to tell me we were going to the beach, I didn’t even hesitate. I had a quick flash in my head about the grades I had to finalize or the blog posts I had to write and you know what? I shut everything down and just went. We sat outside (faces covered, sunscreen on) and caught up about life. Let the healing sunshine radiate down, enjoy the lack of humidity and cool breezes rolling in. It was like you just had to shut your eyes, take in the moment and be thankful you are afforded such natural beauties of the world.
I pretty much kept on coming back to this post this weekend and it rings more true now than ever. So I will leave you with a few scenes from the weekend.
Isn’t that just absolutely stunning? I’ll tell you what it was so nice to decompress, power it down and step away a little bit from the social media this weekend. I am practicing for the honeymoon and it was such a head clearing experience. I hope everyone is having a fabulous start to their week! Stop by tomorrow for Things I’m Digging lately! Linking up with Biana and Meghan today! xoxoxo

As someone who just returned from her honeymoon AND someone who is perpetually busy, it took me 2-3 days to completely decompress and chill out, so it’s great you are you are already thinking about that! I was warned about that challenge by a friend, so I was able to try and be aware – so now I’m telling you. ;)

I seriously can’t even deal with how gorgeous the weather was this weekend. And considering it’s supposed to be in the mid 90’s next weekend I’m glad we both got to spend some time outside this weekend! We all know weather like this doesn’t happen often for us! Happy Monday love!

These pictures are absolutely breathtaking! That’s awesome that you were able to have a little downtime this weekend (and good friends who know when you just need a little beach time!!). Though I think I lived where you are, I’d have trouble getting anything done, it’s so beautiful! Hope you are having a great Monday! xoxo

With such perfect weather and so many things happening, it seems like lots of people just dropped what they were doing and got out to enjoy! I opted for the beach decisions like you though! First time in over a year digging my toes into the white sands and warm waters and it was AMAZING. Thank goodness for days like that! A great way to just live in the moment.

Girl… the weather was so nice that we opened all the windows and aired out the house. We’ve been painting all weekend so my house smells like……. paint. HA!

I bet looking at houses was a lot of fun! The photos are gorgeous. I am dying to get to the beach.( we go in June!) My weekend was super packed getting ready for Cole’s 5th birthday party. The good news is he was the last party of my children for the year. lol I made it through. Now I can focus more energy on some projects and post a bit more on the blog. xo

I need to come to florida just to see some of those sunsets….swoon. I’m on board with needing to decompress. I’ve been trying to not be so hard on myself lately about my blogging schedule (or lack there of) and just life in general. I’ve been putting in only my 8 hours a day when I can and just doing whatever I want at night. Its hard but nice when we can just do nothing. I’m waiting for one of those weekends where we don’t have anything planned….cant wait.
Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis says
Absolutely gorgeous sunset photos! Glad you got to relax and decompress this weekend.

Love this!! So true! When we want to disconnect we get on the bike and take a ride and just enjoy the wind and the scenery and sometimes the loss of cell phone reception if we’re in the right area! It’s definitely needed sometimes! Beautiful photos!
