Do we have to reach a point in our lives when we can’t have a birthday wish list anymore? Like you’re not 16 anymore, so you can’t drag your parental unit to the mall and hope they buy you that Abercrombie skirt that clearly needs to be 4 inches longer. So I turned 30 last year. I embarrassed myself by recalling all the birthdays past. Read it. One of my favorite posts. I’d say the first year of my 30’s has been pretty sweet with a dream wedding and bucket list honeymoon. I can’t wait to see what this next year brings. I mean if it doesn’t involve matching pink tanks and a laminated to do list……I think I’ll be doing just fine.
See this past one was way more civilized…..clearly I like to make my hair wavy with special occasions…..just noticed that little tidbit.
Now all my July birthday peeps out there don’t you kind of feel like we deserve a birthday month because our birthdays get lost in the shuffle of the Summer excitement? Plus, I never got my locker decorated in school. Yes, I still hold onto that one. My birthday is on July 5th (Sunday to be very specific) and it always gets swept up in the holiday celebrations. That is why I tell Mark that a birthday month is completely called for. So I thought I’d make a fabulous little wish list and then send it to a certain somebody….plus this is also a fun little way to see how many people write Happy Birthday and move on *insert evil laughter*. I put that in the same category as “great post….kisses….follow me back!”
So even though I don’t need a single thing off this birthday wish list, a girl can always dream right? I even busted out photoshop to make this one. I know, I was getting a little crazy with myself.

I got the Fitbit HR for my dad for Father’s Day and I’m obsessed. It just totally fits with my OCD/Type A tracking personality. Plus with the HR, you can actually now how many calories you are burning in a day. A splurge pair of new Tom Ford Sunglasses. These have been on my radar for quite some time now. Always can go for something sparkly am I right? Next, do I need another purse? No. Is it on my lust list and will be mine? Probably sometime soon. My holy grail lip stains in every color they make, including the plump up version. At home facials whenever I want?? With this gadget, never pay for another pricey salon one again. Now that I am using my camera all the time, I need a sturdy camera bag and this one is taking top ranks. I need this float in my life…..like yesterday. To go along with this gorgeous bathing suit. Finally, it will fit in my upholder and it’s pink, enough said.
I would be extremely fortunate to get even one thing on this birthday wish list! I am a firm believer in getting something special for yourself on your big day, so you have something to fondly look back on. I hope everyone is having a great week! Love EVERY single item on your birthday wishlist! Those sunglasses are amazing and you already know how I feel about that pool float! Having your birthday in summer sucks. Happy almost birthday lovely!! I know what you mean re: holiday time birthdays just sort of disappearing into the mix. Mine is right after Valentine’s Day (a real holiday, a fake one, whatever it happens) so not only am I always alone and reminded about it, but a lot of people skip/forget my birthday as part of the love frenzy. A month is a must. Also I’m onlbaessed with the pink S’well bottle, we have them at my new part time gig and I have to keep telling myself I don’t need another water bottle!

JK JK JK ^^^^^ So, I know we’re twinsies on just about everything… But this. Bday’s were never a big deal in our house and I don’t understand why anyone would make them one. Like, congrats, you you’re a year older…?? We got what we wanted for dinner and mom baked us a cake and we got one present, nothing flashy/expensive. That’s how I like to celebrate them now, too. In fact, now that I’m 30 I’m totes cool with forgetting them altogether. 30 is a great age to stop at, kthanxbai.

My youngest son’s birthday happened every year days after school ended in June. Growing up all he wanted was his name on the school marquee announcing his birthday. One year, in 8th grade it happened, they extended the school year due to hurricanes and his name went up! He was supposed to be this ‘too cool for school 8th grader’ but it was like he was 5 years old, he was so excited, he had me film him walking past the marquee! I don’t think the kid in us ever really goes away! Personally, as a cancer survivor I celebrate birthdays like CRAZY now, everything is about perspective :-) I really enjoyed your post and love your list! Happy day!
July birthdays are the best! (Mine’s the 26th :) I remember in elementary school they used to celebrate summer “half birthdays” since we weren’t in school during our actual birthdays… just not the same! Happy early Birthday, girl!

I’m a huge advocate for nice bags. I would just rather have a few expensive bags instead of a million cheap ones that fall apart. They are worth it. See, I always wished for a summer birthday! Mine is in November. It causes a jam packed holiday season. My birthday, then thanksgiving, then Christmas. I was always envious of my summer birthday pals.
