Let me tell you what. I am ready for another mini vacation while scrolling through these pictures! When the plan for Charleston was made and the flights were booked, the next big task was finding where to stay. My Aunt had sent me over a press release for the Spectator hotel. It is a brand new boutique hotel that just opened in downtown Charleston. When we were planning our girls trip to the city, we wanted to stay in a hotel that was close to all the action. The Spectator was a perfect location to walk to all the attractions, shopping and restaurants. We couldn’t have picked a better spot.
The Spectator Hotel Review
The hotel opened just over a month ago and boosts 41 beautiful rooms. With the small amount of rooms, this boutique hotel was able to make you feel like you were their number one priority. I mean, each room came with your own butler service and breakfast brought up to your room every morning.
Each room was stocked with complimentary (yes free!) gourmet snacks and cold beverages. There was also a Nespresso machine in every room, you know how much I love both of mine at home.
The rooms were very spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
Let’s talk about this bathroom. I mean straight out of my Pinterest boards. Three girls got ready with all of our hair products, tools and makeup with plenty of space. The bigelow products was a great luxe brand to use. Also, heated towel racks…..need I say more?
The butler service. I wasn’t feeling so hot the first night and called down for Tums. They had it up to me in less than 5 minutes. Coming back to a turndown service with chocolate liquor and jazz music playing was a great way to unwind.
Breakfast was complimentary. You picked your options the night before and put the slip outside of your door. We picked a breakfast time of 8am and they were promptly calling every morning on the dot. There were a few times that some items were missing but they were quick to bring them up ASAP. Still working out some kinks but they were totally minor…..I mean you are bringing me breakfast in bed, I’ll wait for the toast right?
When we arrived back at the hotel, they brought us up coffee and tea with snacks. No problem. Also, the hotel bar is a destination spot all in itself. The drinks were so fresh and creative. I am still thinking about it.
The hotel is walking distance to all the great shopping, restaurants and attractions. We took uber from the airport, you will not need to rent a car if you stay here. You can walk to basically anywhere in the city.
You can also take their bikes out for a ride if you want to sneak in a little exercise.
Overall, I was so happy with our stay. My feelings are if you are going to spend that kind of money, you want the service to go along with it. Their attention to detail and the yes I will make it happen for you approach was definitely noted and appreciated. If you are planning a trip to Charleston I highly recommend staying at the Spectator hotel. You will be spoiled accordingly and it will make your trip that much more enjoyable. Any questions definitely feel free to ask! Thank you to the Spectator hotel for our beautiful stay.

This hotel is purely stunning, love that you guys stumbled upon a brand new gem! The turn-down service reminds me of a resort in the Caribbean or a cruise, and loving that they have complimentary breakfast and bike rentals <3

Gorgeous hotel!! Thank you so much for your honest review. I totally trust your judgement when it comes to hotels and restaurants. :-) This place looks like it would also meet all of Chris’s requirements. He is kind of a diva about hotels.. haha. His parents live an hour-and-a-half away from Charleston and I keep telling him that I really want to go there some day. I’ll definitely keep this hotel in mind when that happens. :-) Have a wonderful day lady!! :-)

So jealous of your trip! Like I said the other day, I’ve always wanted to stay in Charleston. It’s such a pretty area! This hotel seems like the perfect place to stay. I tend to be pretty frugal in general but when I’m really in need of a vacation I like to treat myself and spend a little extra to have a great experience. It’s so worth it!
