In all my searches around town for blog inspiration, I drove by this mural and immediately knew what I wanted to do with it. I also wanted to give mural credit to hoxxoh you can also follow him on instagram. Such beautiful local art right? I had filled y’all in on my previous Fall trends post that flare jeans are back. I am rather picky about the fit and tried on no lie 10 pairs at Nordstrom until I found the perfect pair. I had a very patient gal helping me that is for sure. I narrowed it down finally to this pair by Hudson, mainly due to the rinse and fit. They aren’t over the top 70’s start breaking out the braided belts kind of flares but a more tapered and then tasteful let out.
Flare Jeans Are Back
How to wear them you ask? Well, lots of different ways. What I liked about this pair is that it has two front pockets which allows you to tuck shirts in and still give some coverage in the front. They are just high waisted enough, without being those terrible mom shorts length that all the youths are wearing. C’mon you know what I’m talking about! Can we start a petition or something to have those never be worn again? I picked up this top from Free People which hits right at the perfect line to the high waist of the flare jeans.
Sizing guide tip! These run big. I’m usually a dead on 28 in all jeans and I sized down to a 26. I mean……way to make a gal feel good. I also found this dead ringer under $30 pair if you don’t want to full commit to the trend. Like you want to dip a toe into the flare trend without financially committing to it yet. I mean how spot on are they? I have been hounding the website and they just came up. I guarantee they are going to sell out quickly so jump on them.

I love the back of this top. You can wear it with a tank or a fun lace bralette (I picked it up from the sale).
Braid tutorial will be up soon! No extensions. I had that question on instagram the other day. I don’t have a length and style number. I have been loving this gradual more natural color lately. As I know my mother does as well.

Flare jeans don’t fit us short girls right. You are lucky girl because those jeans are fucking CUTE! I love me some flare jeans. It’s all I wore in high school. If I can find a dope ass pair that would look great on me while being short, I’ll totally buy.

People in the Midwest haven’t stopped wearing them period, and most normal people wore them regularly until 2007… Not enough time has passed for the trend to come back. Nope. Love this look!!!! I for one am ecstatic that the flare is coming back!!! It never really left for me, as I was sporting my boot cut jeans all last year to switch up from the skinnies. This is me crying because I can’t, for the life of me, wear flares. I have really short legs. On top of that, they are freakishly skinny. If I wear flares, my legs disappear. haha Oh well, I admire the fashion trend! (: You rock these!
