Even though the temps are staying consistently pretty warm down here, it hasn’t stopped me from stocking up on my Fall and cooler weather staples. I have a lot of family up north and we do travel a lot during this season. I also like to be ready for when Florida feels like cooperating with having seasons. Since we have a little bit of time, I like to stock up on good tried and true staples. That way, they can last a few seasons. Here are the Fall wardrobe essentials that have been on my radar.
I like coats that cover my rear and have hoods when you are up north and it snows. How striking is the color of this one? Plus it’s on sale with coupon codes FALL10, FALL15, FALL20 depending on how much you spend. This military jacket would be a perfect transition piece when the temps cool down. I’m always on the lookout for an affordable trench coat and this one is a contender. This quilted coat is a Burberry ringer but for 1/3 of the price, I love it in navy. This is the ultimate splurge piece, a girl can dream right?
A good pair of slimming dark jeans. Flares are back. I am very particular about them because not everyone is a 70’s model gal height. I prefer a little more narrow through the calf with a flare at the end and a little higher waisted. This pair is spot on for my requirements. Love the price point on this pair, my James skinnies are my current go to. Really soft and doesn’t lose their shape (true to size, I’m a 28). I think this is the lowest price I’ve ever found True Religion jeans for and act quick all sizes are available. Steal price here.
I am fully convinced that Dolce Vita makes the most comfortable shoes ever. This pair of booties is just enough touch of edge to spice up any plain black outfit. The pair I have been wearing non stop came back in stock in a few sizes, find them here. Seriously, they are like butter soft. Side bar, I have a pair of dark turquoise suede pumps that I wear non stop in the Fall. They are sold out but I found a fab dupe at a great price point here.
If you can’t fully commit to leather leggings then a good happy medium is this pair from Fall color trends post here. They run small, size up. I went with a medium. They hold their shape well and the under $20 price point you can’t beat. This textured pair is part of the Bloomingdale’s friends and family sale.
If you remember from this plaids post it is here to stay. This top is a splurge but check the back detailing on it. Bargain price here.
I just got this scarf and it is incredibly soft and you can’t beat the price tag, under $15. Finally picked up some tech gloves here.
Sale alert. MYHABIT has the coveted Chloe bags on sale right now here and Bloomingdale’s is running their friends and family 25% off right now. Happy Fall wardrobe shopping my loves!

AGHHHH I cannot wait for fall/winter weather so I can bundle up in all the beautiful things! Haha. And the booties, omg give me ALL of them!
Yes to all of this! I love fall fashion! I can’t wait to break out the faux leather leggings. I think I’d die wearing them right now though!
Sequins & Sea Breezes
I need to find a pair of booties that I love, so I can get in on that trend. The faux leather leggings I’m not sure that I could pull off. Come up here and style me! haha
Love this list! I actually died over the black/fur lined coat and realized it was a forever pick which is always a steal price! Loving that flare jeans are back but it’s been so long since I’ve owned a pair ha and plaid shirts are a must in my closet this fall! I currently don’t own a plaid shirt, what is wrong with me?!
Linds @ Not A Mom
Such a great list, as always! I love my new booties, plaid shirt and dark jeans. I need to find a pair of faux leather leggings and I’m ready to go!!!!

I just bought those booties and can’t wait to wear them – hopefully this weekend! I still only have one plaid shirt so that needs to change, but for coats…our coat rack might explode if I buy one more, but we use them so much it’s worth it!! Great round up! xo, Biana
I have to limit my coat addiction since it doesn’t stay very cold here for too long. That oxblood color one is beautiful and I love the fold over neckline!
I really need to up my bootie game! You always have the best suggestions. I just bought a plaid shirt and I’m super excited for it to be cool enough to break it out.
I see the plaid I told you about is making an appearance! Whoohoo, who can beat that for the price, right? I just got a pair of neutral-colored booties with a wedge, and they’re going to be on repeat once it’s actually cool enough to even THINK about boots and socks here. I’m dying for a pair of faux leather leggings – I searched all last year and didn’t find anything near long enough. Like, they’re all 30″ inseams and that stops mid calf for me and is ankle length for everyone else. And I’m not trying to drop like $500 on these to get designer and have them actually fit! Sad face.

lol just what i need – an excuse to buy ALL the things. but it’s real. i love me some plaid which is SO in and love dark jeans. which to be honest, i rock all year long. and glad flares are back too! when i pair them with a heel, i instantly feel skinnier! good round up of picks, chica!

Great list!!! I love scarves and need to invest in a new coat. It is hard to prioritize a long coat in FL. I don’t think i’ve bought a new move since I moved back here.
I think I’ve decided I have to try out leather leggings! Such a fun way to dress up an outfit for a night out
I looooooooooove dark jeans! I only just recently bought my first pair of lighter colored jeans in years! I also invested in a few pairs of booties! Now, if only the weather would catch up with my closet! ha
I love dark jeans and am so happy that flare leg is back. Skinny jeans looked terrible on me. Great plaid tops, I love plaid anything. Cannot wait to start wearing my plaids. Oh those Chloey bags, I almost bought one but then decided against it. Thought it was too trendy for myself.
Give me all the plaid + ankle boots, please! Great rundown, lady!
Le Stylo Rouge
I feel like I’m in big trouble, because I hate plaid lol! Everything else I love though, especially the booties!
Love all of your picks!!! You would look amazing in a pair of those faux leather leggings too! I’ve never tried Frame denim but I’ve been seeing it around a lot. AG also makes a high-waisted flare called the Janis. Just in case you’re looking for some more options. ;-) Thank you for sharing! :-)

LOVE that oxford wrap coat – so cute! I really need to invest in a long knit coat this winter, Lord knows we have to wear coats up here like 7 months out of the year, blah!
Well, our temps are dropping to the 50s this week, so I’ll wear the fall clothes in honor of you. :) I seriously could buy everything in this post, I’m still looking for the perfect plaid shirt!
I need a “good” plaid shirt. I bought a couple from Target last year, but they just didn’t hold up throughout the year. Time to start over, I guess!
I love plaids for fall! I also really love all the dark flare jeans! It is nice to have flares back in style again!
I have two pairs of Dolce Vita shoes and couldn’t agree with you more! Plus they are pretty affordable! I need to find the perfect plaid button up. Not too soft, not too thick. It’s been a challenge!

Those knit socks look amazing!

Plaid shirts are my jam. I have a decent collection, but am looking for a good piece this year. Love the ones you shared. And I’m glad I kept my flair and bootcut jeans all these years since they are now back in style. :)
Great fall picks girl!
Great post! Just started following you. Looking forward to more!!
So much goodness here, where do I even begin?!?!?! You know my love for the Nordstrom faux leather leggings already. I am trying to talk myself up to being brave enough for them. Booties booties everywhere! Just yes!! Northface makes my favorite jackets because they are so warm, yet so thin and light that they don’t bother me when I wear them. I need to go jeans shopping but I hate trying on jeans. Wah!
I am all about the leather leggings and the booties this year. Still obsessing over the K-Cav ones, I think they’ll find their way to my closet soon <3
My flannels are HUGE but make for great nightshirts at least hah. Yes to dark denim!
Loving all your picks. Booties, faux leather leggings and plaid shirts…I need to stock up on those Fall fashion staples!
Thanks for this, so ready for fall! I wish I would have kept all my flare jeans I spent so much money on in college! Thanks to pure barre I can fit back in those sizes!
Yes to all of these pieces, now can it please cool down??! It’s so hot down here!
This list is all the praise hands! I’m so happy about all the plaid and I want EVERY bootie!
I am in the mood for plaid shirts and leggings! When will Florida get cold??????
Dark jeans, booties and plaid – yes yes yes!! All of the scarves too – you can never have too many!!
Lisa Loves John says
Loving the faux leather textured leggings!! And of course, all of those long coats are leaving me wishing I didn’t live in Arizona!
Fall is by FAR the best clothing season in my opinion. The scarves, sweaters, booties!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Those socks look like the most comfortable thing ever!
i want all the things please. i need a new pair of dark slimming jeans, or perhaps i just need to lose a few lbs so i fit into my current ones lol
I absolutely love plaid shirts! I can’t have enough!
Love the Forever 21 black jacket as well as the tribal poncho from Forever 21.
Fall has the best styles!
I need to find a good plaid shirt!! I haven’t worn any in years but I used to have a ton of them. I just bought a darker pair of jeans for Fall!
