Even though the temps are staying consistently pretty warm down here, it hasn’t stopped me from stocking up on my Fall and cooler weather staples. I have a lot of family up north and we do travel a lot during this season. I also like to be ready for when Florida feels like cooperating with having seasons. Since we have a little bit of time, I like to stock up on good tried and true staples. That way, they can last a few seasons. Here are the Fall wardrobe essentials that have been on my radar.
Fall Wardrobe Essentials
Long Coats
I like coats that cover my rear and have hoods when you are up north and it snows. How striking is the color of this one? Plus it’s on sale with coupon codes FALL10, FALL15, FALL20 depending on how much you spend. This military jacket would be a perfect transition piece when the temps cool down. I’m always on the lookout for an affordable trench coat and this one is a contender. This quilted coat is a Burberry ringer but for 1/3 of the price, I love it in navy. This is the ultimate splurge piece, a girl can dream right?
Dark Jeans
A good pair of slimming dark jeans. Flares are back. I am very particular about them because not everyone is a 70’s model gal height. I prefer a little more narrow through the calf with a flare at the end and a little higher waisted. This pair is spot on for my requirements. Love the price point on this pair, my James skinnies are my current go to. Really soft and doesn’t lose their shape (true to size, I’m a 28). I think this is the lowest price I’ve ever found True Religion jeans for and act quick all sizes are available. Steal price here.
Booties
I am fully convinced that Dolce Vita makes the most comfortable shoes ever. This pair of booties is just enough touch of edge to spice up any plain black outfit. The pair I have been wearing non stop came back in stock in a few sizes, find them here. Seriously, they are like butter soft. Side bar, I have a pair of dark turquoise suede pumps that I wear non stop in the Fall. They are sold out but I found a fab dupe at a great price point here.
Faux Leather Leggings
If you can’t fully commit to leather leggings then a good happy medium is this pair from Fall color trends post here. They run small, size up. I went with a medium. They hold their shape well and the under $20 price point you can’t beat. This textured pair is part of the Bloomingdale’s friends and family sale.
A Good Plaid Shirt
If you remember from this plaids post it is here to stay. This top is a splurge but check the back detailing on it. Bargain price here.
Scarves & Accessories
I just got this scarf and it is incredibly soft and you can’t beat the price tag, under $15. Finally picked up some tech gloves here.

Love this list! I actually died over the black/fur lined coat and realized it was a forever pick which is always a steal price! Loving that flare jeans are back but it’s been so long since I’ve owned a pair ha and plaid shirts are a must in my closet this fall! I currently don’t own a plaid shirt, what is wrong with me?!

I see the plaid I told you about is making an appearance! Whoohoo, who can beat that for the price, right? I just got a pair of neutral-colored booties with a wedge, and they’re going to be on repeat once it’s actually cool enough to even THINK about boots and socks here. I’m dying for a pair of faux leather leggings – I searched all last year and didn’t find anything near long enough. Like, they’re all 30″ inseams and that stops mid calf for me and is ankle length for everyone else. And I’m not trying to drop like $500 on these to get designer and have them actually fit! Sad face.
lol just what i need – an excuse to buy ALL the things. but it’s real. i love me some plaid which is SO in and love dark jeans. which to be honest, i rock all year long. and glad flares are back too! when i pair them with a heel, i instantly feel skinnier! good round up of picks, chica!

I looooooooooove dark jeans! I only just recently bought my first pair of lighter colored jeans in years! I also invested in a few pairs of booties! Now, if only the weather would catch up with my closet! ha
I love dark jeans and am so happy that flare leg is back. Skinny jeans looked terrible on me. Great plaid tops, I love plaid anything. Cannot wait to start wearing my plaids. Oh those Chloey bags, I almost bought one but then decided against it. Thought it was too trendy for myself.

So much goodness here, where do I even begin?!?!?! You know my love for the Nordstrom faux leather leggings already. I am trying to talk myself up to being brave enough for them. Booties booties everywhere! Just yes!! Northface makes my favorite jackets because they are so warm, yet so thin and light that they don’t bother me when I wear them. I need to go jeans shopping but I hate trying on jeans. Wah!
