Is it just me or does it seem like trying to get everything done around the holidays is impossible?  Also, when it gets darker so much earlier I feel like when I’m done with work, that’s it.  I don’t have the drive to head to class or grade papers.  Anyways, I think that just means I’m ready for this upcoming holiday break.  I wanted to check in with y’all to share with you a few things that are trending on my radar.

Now I’ve been at this blogging thing for a little while now and that comes with the emails on a daily basis from brands reaching out for awareness.  Majority of times I politely say no because there is really no way I could spin light bulbs or dog food that makes sense.  I try to only talk about things that I use on a daily basis.  Other times I think I am going to be excited about a product and it falls short, therefore it doesn’t get talked about because I don’t like it.  I’ve recently been introduced to two new online concepts that I wanted to share with y’all.

The first one is DITTO.  I am completely sold on this.  I’ve been using it for just over 3 months and have already been hooked up with 5 pairs of designer sunglasses.  The concept is so easy.  You sign up and for $24 a month you get unlimited high end sunglasses sent to you.  I have had Ray-bans, Prada, Derek Lam and two pairs of Karen Walkers.  To see if they will look good on you, you take a picture of yourself and you can virtually try on any pair.  You send over the style you want and in super fast shipping, your beauties arrive.  Every pair I have gotten, the boxes have been sealed and the glasses look brand new.

When you are done, request your next pair.  They arrive, place your old box in and slap on the already paid for shipping label, drop off at the Post Office and enjoy.  It is seriously that easy.  I was a little nervous with my clumsy self but it has insurance built into the price for every day wear/scratches.  If you choose to buy you get 15% off the price but you can keep your frames an unlimited amount of time until you want to swap out for another pair.  Seriously, it’s genius.  Now you don’t have to have just one pair of expensive sunglasses that you will get bored with.  You can keep your pair for as long as your membership is in good standing.

Next!  Have you heard of the Golden Totes yet?  It’s a company out in California that fills your “tote” with curated pieces by their stylists.  This is how it works.  There are 3 levels of totes.  The first level is $49.  You pick one item from the collection and then their stylist will surprise you with another piece.  So basically you are getting two items for $25 each.  That is like Target prices.  The next tote is the $99 where they pick 4 items for you based on  your style profile.  The last available tote is for $149.  You pick two items that you want and then the stylist will fill your tote, so you have 5-6 pieces in total.  Also, if there is a piece that you have to have, you can add it on to your order for a reduced price.

The style profile was very descriptive with your body type, your style, what you do like and most importantly what you don’t like. The tote was shipped fast and I loved every single piece in there.  What I really liked about it is there were a few pieces that I probably never would have initially picked up for myself but on, they have quickly become my go to holiday favorites.
