Is everyone back and ready from holiday mode? I’m not going to lie…..today is rough. I have had quite the extended holiday weekend with the hurricane that rolled through Florida. I have almost been off of work for a week and naturally I planned to get so much work done. Well, I didn’t open my computer for the past 3 days and it was pure bliss. Talk about disconnecting. A timeout from screens was just what I needed. I hope everyone stayed safe as that storm moved up the coast!
I thought I’d do a quick catchup type of post today. I cannot believe how fast this Summer went by. I know we all just casually say that in passing as polite small talk but seriously! How fast it went by right? If you saw on Friday’s post, I have a ton of travel for the month of September scheduled. The calm before the storm is going on right now. I’m trying to get everything scheduled and planned so when the craziness takes over, I will be ready. Give me all your Denver recommendations! I’ve done my research but I’d love to hear your picks as well!

I finally accepted reality and rented a storage unit. We’ve been looking for a house pretty much ever since we got married but the market is really tough down here right now. It is a sellers market and we just don’t need it right now. So instead of stressing myself out about it anymore, I buckled down and rented a storage unit. My parents are overjoyed to get those wedding gifts finally out of the house. I’m happy to start to get some sanity back to our condo. Hopefully you can see more at home snaps since we will be getting all those boxes from my condo out and into storage. I think it will be the best money ever spent. A shout out and thank you to my parents for their help this weekend. If you can move with your significant other in the rain…….and not fight…….then you know your marriage is solid. Thank goodness it finally stopped for all the major heavy lifting.
My class is underway and things are looking good that these students are going to be low maintenance this semester…..fingers crossed.

I’m still teaching barre but only a few classes a week. I’m always so thankful for how flexible and supportive my studio is. I feel so centered and complete every time I either take or teach a class. I still love barre so much!

So thankful for all the fabulous support from all my family, friends, and blogger gals. I love being able to catch up with everyone plus seeing all the amazing opportunities and big events happening for all of you! Even if I don’t get around to commenting every day, I am still reading. Hoping work will settle down a tiny bit and I can catch a breather around these parts.

Fall always flys by, then the holidays are here, then winter stays waaay too long after that!! I’m already not looking forward to it if you can’t tell! Sorry you are having so much trouble finding a house. I’m sure you will find one very soon now that you rented a storage unit. Isn’t that how it usually goes? Fingers crossed :)

So many exciting things and changes come up for you guys! LOVE that ots top!!

I love love love that off the shoulder top! Sadly my team got a L this weekend but still hopeful for a good season!

Ugh, it IS a seller’s market! We live in a nice neighborhood, but it isn’t South Tampa or anything, and some of the homes being listed are a little ridiculous, and we own our home, lol…so if I am saying it, you know I think it’s a little ridic. Glad you took some much needed downtime this weekend!
Karly says
So many gorgeous photos of you! I bet you’re thrilled to finally have some space back in your condo. Hopefully a house is still in the near future for you guys!
Alissa says
Ahhh! I wanted to say which photo I loved of you the most but then I was like they are ALL SO GOOD! Happy Tuesday girl, we are one day closer to Friday!

Your life schedule amazes me, especially because I’m super busy with multiple projects/jobs myself. I’m glad you got some time off to breathe, even if it was because of a storm! Denver sounds amazing, I’m so jealous of your travel plans. A few of my friends randomly moved there from New England so I’m curious to travel there and maybe catch the Colorado bug they all seem to have!

I’m doing surprisingly great for today being a “Monday” at the office. I’ve been on top of things and good to go, so that’s something, right?

Disconnecting for a few days can be so refreshing!! Hope you all are able to find a home you love when the time is right!

Girl your Sept is gonna be CRAY! I’m tired just reading it. We went on two big trips this summer (that’s a lot for a fam of 4) so I’m THRILLED to be hunkering down for the fall and we have no travel plans until early Jan. Random: We have the same pedi color right now :) Also, I just took my first barre class in three months because the timing hasn’t been working with my nanny schedule and OMG I don’t think I’ll be able to walk tomorrow! I need to get in the studio more regularly and get into shape before the holidays!
Amanda says
I never thought I’d be jealous of a hurricane but for a whole week off…? I’m green.
Love that off the shoulder top!
We’re planning on getting a house next year in the fall and I’m with you… it’s def a seller’s market right now!
Amy Getz says
Girl, you are so busy! Don’t forget to chill out too – glad you took a disconnect weekend and glad you are all okay from the storm! We have family in Tampa – they lost a HUGE tree but thankfully it just hit the driveway!
Carmen says
Lovin that off the shoulder top. As for your weekend, I can totally agree that disconnecting is sometimes the best thing. As a social media manager, however, it’s hard to do that. :]

Those Marc Fisher shoes are amazing! Surely those didn’t make it to the storage unit :) Haha! I am sure you are glad to have somewhere for all your extras to go for now. I am sure you guys will eventually find the perfect home! Glad you all stayed safe during the hurricane. I know our corporate office worked from home for a few days and took down our database and programs at night to be on the safe side. Stop it with the holidays! They are going to be here before we know it!!! I will be ready for some cooler weather though. That sure seems to be taking its time!

Ugh finding a house right now is just horrible, my co-worker just went through it and she had a heck of a time! So I am glad youre taking a step back to not stress about it! Loving all of these outfits, especially that super hott black dress!

You definitely keep yourself busy but life sounds good and you have lots to be thankful for! Disconnecting for the weekend was probably VERY much needed and hopefully you can get everything organized before your travel adventures. Here’s my Denver trip recap from this year but I definitely recommend Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox for brunch and the rooftop bars near Coors field are very fun hangout spots and definitely husband approved. View House is huge with lots of different levels, cornhole games on the ground floor, tons of TVs with sports on, good food and a nice view of Coors Field: http://www.martinisbikinisblog.com/2016/06/exploring-denver.html

I’m so excited to see your fall fashion! I rarely see you in darker colors, and I LOVE it.

Oh that black dress looks Ah-Mazing on you. At first, I thought it was a La Petite Robe dress that we have at Neiman’s. Nothing like a good LBD. Hope your week is going well.

HOT DAMN! Looking so good! Love all the outfits, but that black outfit is perfect! x

Girl your September is looking crazy for sure! But that festival in Vegas is going to be so much fun. I hope you can find some semblance of normalcy during this crazy time for you.
Anna says
Yeah, today is definitely a struggle. I’m just back from a long weekend in Denver for a wedding. If you like beer, there’s sooo many breweries to check out in the area. I liked Avery Brewing in Boulder best, but enjoyed several others as well. We really mostly hiked (Chautaqua Park in Boulder and Rocky Mountain National Park) and visited breweries, but I’d also highly recommend the Denver Biscuit Company for breakfast/brunch – just be prepared for a long wait or go on a weekday.
Kristina says
The rain is no fun but I will say I was so relieved that it moved up the coast and was not in Miami when we visited!! It was sticky and hot but still so much fun. And I have lots of catching up to do as well- I wished so bad I had brought my computer when we were delayed in the airport all day but oh well!

Girl, whenever I think I am busy I read your blog and realize I am lazy haha. Teaching, work, barre class, blog travel? That’s impossible. I undestand the moving struggles. We were going to rent for a while but then renting was so expensive we just bought. Fingers crossed for you in the house hunting! http://mymonochromaticlife.com

So glad y’all were safe in the storm! So glad you could disconnected for a few days. I have some things in a storage unit as well. It is just temporary I keep saying until our sellers market dies down too, it is so frustrating! So ready for football! Have brunch at Snooze in Denver. We drank so much last time I was there I cannot remember anything else unfortunately!

No laptop for 3 days?! Go you, girl!
We’re about to embark on a new housing adventure and I’m simultaneously looking forward to it and dreading it. :P

I felt like the long weekend went even faster than normal weekends! Can’t wait to read about your Denver trip – I’m heading there in a couple months myself! Also starting to hunt for some houses but you’re so right, the market’s pretty rough right now.
