I can’t believe this is the start of November!!! October is seriously my favorite month and it went by way too fast. I will say, I’m excited for the holidays and the cooler weather down here in Florida. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine consisted of a lot of catching up on work and football watching. There were definitely some great games this weekend! We also headed to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando on Sunday night. It was the only night we could use our passes that we get included in our yearly pass. The lines were crazy long but at least we had a good time. I am really weird y’all. I hate scary movies, like if I make the mistake of flipping to one on the tv, I will have nightmares for a week. I will need to pull my shower curtain back to make sure no one is behind it and the horror if someone knocks on my door while I’m home alone. Yet, I love scary haunted houses. The scarier the better. I love when someone will jump out from the shadows and straight up scare me. I guess it’s a contained environment that isn’t real (but neither are movies) I don’t get it.

I also wanted to share some weekend eats with you! Do you that Bartaco has a new secret taco and it is amazing and I want to go back for it every weekend? The new secret taco is ahi tuna in lettuce wraps and they are delicious. Mark and I headed there for an early dinner while the weather was absolutely perfect out. They had all the windows and garage doors open to the beautiful “cooler” Florida temps. I just love their space so much.
We started out with the guacamole because it is the best guac I’ve had anywhere hands down. We also checked out the street corn and I’m still dreaming about it. If you ask nicely they will take it off the cob for you and it’s sprinkled with cheese and chili powder over the top.
I never order cocktails out because they are so expensive and not usually worth it but I never pass on a margarita here. I also got one of their newest cocktails that just came out. They change their cocktails with the seasons due to the fruit availability. This was their new seasonal drink with passionfruit, it was delicious and very potent if you catch my drift….
Onto to the goods. The secret taco was a very generous serving of ahi tuna with an Asian slaw served over bibb lettuce.
We also ordered the rotisserie chicken which was a new order for us and a nice addition. Plus, the steak and chicken tacos. I never order duck anywhere besides here and in my honest opinion it’s the best one on the menu. Try it the next time you go and I guarantee you will like it!
Bartaco has always had such consistently good food. We pretty rarely make it out to eat but when we do we always tend to gravitate back to it. I love the vibes and energy of Hyde Park, the beautiful surroundings inside, the food, drinks, and excellent staff. The staff is always so friendly and very knowledgeable. I usually just go with what they tell me and they’ve never steered me wrong. For local peeps try it out in Hyde Park. They also have quite a few other locations that you can find here.

There were a few Bartacos in Atlanta but we don’t have any here in Birmingham. So sad. All of your food looks so delicious and your outfit is basically fall perfection! Mac and I sat at the back of our house last night avoiding the kids and watching Hocus Pocus. He isn’t a fan of random people ringing doorbells.

I dont like scary movies or scary haunted houses. I hate being scared, but I love watching videos of other people being scared and going through them lol
Love the plaid and black outfit! Looks Fall perfect!

Yummmm! The ahi taco wrap is my kind of taco!! Um, I can’t do scary – I went to HHN once, and needed a lot of adult bevvys to get through it.

Super cute outfit and love those AG’s! That red dress is also really pretty. Moving on.. That restaurant is so pretty and that food looks amazing! I also never order cocktails at restaurants because I feel like then that is all that I can have all night. Or I just don’t because they’re so expensive. But that drink looks really good! Thank you for sharing and I hope that you have a great day! :-)

It’s 9:30 at night and now I’m hungry because of these photos. Tacos are like my food love language; especially fish tacos.
And I used to love haunted houses as a teenager. Not sure how much I would enjoy them now.

I am loving fall fashion on you, Amanda! I really like scary movies, more so in theory than in real life though because I do get pretty freaked out…yet somehow I always want to go back for more. That aside, Mexican is my favorite kind of food, and those tacos look delish. We just found the BEST Mexican place right by our new house, so I’m pretty stoked about that.
Paige @ An Uncomplicated Life Blog says
No scary movies but haunted houses?! You weirdo! I wish it was plaid weather here… We’re setting records with the heat. It’s bogus.
Lindsay says
That first look is Fall perfection! You are rocking it! I am all but licking my computer because I am obsessed with Bar Taco thanks to you! Their guac is beyond and their cocktails are the best! I wish NJ would get with the program and open one here!
