The Fall trends definitely seem to be repeating themselves from last year. I am seeing a lot of plaids, blanket scarves, faux leather/fur, and rich color palettes. What I am most excited about making a comeback this year is velvet. I was initially hesitant about this trend. It reminded me and hit a little close to home going back to my pre-teen years of holiday dresses with thick velvet, stockings, and big red hair bows. However, this revamped trend is showing up on all kinds of pieces and my favorite is definitely the velvet footwear. Give me all the velvet booties. So naturally I rounded up my favorite velvet pieces that will be perfect for the holidays and into the Winter.
Besides Rag & Bone, my other favorite denim maker AG has this pair that looks insanely comfy. I also picked up this pair on the super affordable level (like $20 from Old Navy). They run very large so size down, I got a 4 and they are still too big. If you want to dip your toe into the trend but not fully commit they are a budget friendly option. I also picked up this super affordable skirt and tell me how gorgeous the color for the holidays is going to be!
I have been crushing on these booties by Steve Madden. They are a great price point and come in a few colors. I ordered them in blue. Also, picked up this pair for the holidays as well. I’ve seen these beauties floating around my Instagram feed as well.

I have been eyeing this Rebecca Minkoff Velvet purse for quite some time and finally scooped it up. It is gorgeous in person and is perfect for the holidays. It comes in so many colors as well, you can get some colors on sale right now at the Bloomingdale’s sale, it automatically updates in the cart. I really love the texture and price point of this velvet clutch. If you have a student email (or in my case a teacher email) you can get 10% off permanently and I signed up for the expedited shipping for a year which was an extra $19 but so worth it in the long haul. I also added this skirt to my latest order. This is my ultimate favorite bag and has the best price point.
There you have it! Crushing on velvet. Do you have the same obsession? What pieces do you have on your radar? Make sure to check back tomorrow for my early Black Friday sales that you do not want to miss!
