I am such a visual person that whenever I see a dress or certain piece of clothing, I immediately create the outfit and scenario for it. For example, this hat would be perfect to buy for travel because it will hide dirty hair and still dress up an outfit. This maxi dress you could wear to brunch because it’s low maintenance, breezy and plenty of room to indulge in. I have been lusting over this dress ever since I saw it in the Wayf lookbook. When it finally came into stock online, I immediately scooped it up. I’ve talked about this before but I immediately have a “fashion show” for Mark whenever I get something delivered. I like to get his opinion if he likes it, is it worth the price tag, would I wear it….etc etc. Now, for those of you that know my husband in real life you know he has no sisters and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t know what the color blush is. So, when I put this dress on and asked him what his thoughts were, he immediately turned up his “blogger girl” voice (the one where he is playfully making fun of me) and says “well Amanda wouldn’t that just be perfect for a Spring Wedding that we need to attend. Well. I’ll be damned. Inspiration comes from every angle and person in my life apparently. So this is my Spring Wedding dress season post that was inspired by my darling husband. The best part is pretty much all of my picks are under $100. If you are blessed to not be in the bridal party and can actually pick your own dress for the shindig, I have quite the roundup for you.

A wedding is always a good excuse to splurge on a new dress and get all prettied up. If your event is a little more casual, I insist you get this dress. It is such a great closet staple that you will get so much wear out of. This OTS with bell sleeves dress is an exact dupe of this Milly dress but for a quarter of the price. I adore the shape, price point, and color of this one. Dress it up with this necklace. I cannot get enough of the Wayf Spring line, how gorgeous is this new arrival? Periwinkle blue is definitely the color of the season, check out this one by Charles Henry. This is a great pick for the under $50 category. One major lust piece, a girl can dream, right? I can’t get over this two piece set.
A few accessories to round it out. I just picked up these earrings and they jazz up every outfit. The prettiest pastel nail color and it dries in seriously 5 seconds with the gel coat. I love this clutch, just enough pattern mixing and goes with everything.
So there you have it! Some of my favorite picks for a Spring Wedding or really any event coming up for you. Last note, I did a lot of investigating for this post via Nordstrom and they linked so many white dresses to wear to a wedding. I mean isn’t it well known you don’t wear white to someone’s wedding?!?!? The one time you just don’t do it. Do you agree or am I just being old fashioned here?

I really don’t want to. E on the bad side of a bride who is pissed you wore white, lol… just saying! I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding next month, so none of these cute dresses for me. Sad! I love that illusion dress on you though. I just bought one of these type dresses myself – excited to see how it looks on me!

I had to text a pic of my dress I wore this weekend to some of my friends asking if it was “too white” to wear to a wedding. You look stunning in that dress, I thought it looked weird on the Nordstrom site, but seeing it on a real person in context makes it work!

The shoes look gorgeous with that dress! So elegant for a fancy wedding or Gala. Long dresses can get super uncomfortable in the FL heat so I like the simple layer of lace which makes it looks airy and comfortable
