Happy Monday. I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was pretty low-key over here. We have had a few house expenses including two new AC units. I can’t believe how hot it still has been. Patrick also finished up swim lessons so we have been taking him to the pool as much as we can to keep his swimming skills up. I also have been looking over all the early Black Friday sales. Are you guys shopping or saving due to life lately? My favorite hair curler is 40% off here! There are a few things I am eyeing but generally, I am in the save category. I wanted to share a favorite trend right now which is the “shacket”. It’s basically an oversized flannel that is worn as a jacket “shirt-jacket = shacket”. It totally works for FL where the mornings and night are cooler. Just throw it over any outfit and you’re good. I’ve also been loving all things plaid lately.

What are your thoughts on the Shacket? Do you love it or hate it? What are some of your favorites trending right now?

Such an interesting concept! Not a trend I’ve embraced in Boston yet, but thanks for sharing all your favorites! xo, Biana

Why on earth are all trends from the early 90’s coming back? It was bad enough living through these trends as an awkward high schooler, lol. Just showing my 41 year old age. I love the dress and the boots!

Yay for swim lessons, but boooooo to new AC units. We keep thinking the upstairs one is about to go, but after a service it decides to continue on. I’m astounded at how much they cost to replace, so I feel your pain!
Loving these shackets, especially all the plaid prints. Perfect for our Florida fall and winter <3

I have seen a few posts with shackets that look really cute, but not a look I can pull off. Love the way you styled yours, though! I figure by the time I am in the public all the time again, this trend will be old news lol. Now talk to me about sweatshirts and pants with no real waistband. LOL. Tis the season for household expenses. Hopefully you went through that money pit spell and are on the other side now!
