I mean seriously I must have been living under a rock but not now. Have y’all had a chance to see the gorgeous collaboration between Lilly Pulitizer and Target? I need to get a strategy and maybe between all of us we can put our heads together. Should we like set our alarms and get online or do we stand outside a store and drag our significant others/friends/family so we have extra hands? The last time I set my alarm for the Toms collaboration the website was so slow and wonky that by the time I added things to my cart most of it was sold out already. They said it goes live on April 19th but like what does that mean? 8 am? Midnight the night before? Some arbitrary time like 4am? I need answers.
I can’t speak of the quality because I haven’t had it in my hands yet but here are the pieces on my radar. I just love how affordable everything is!
I am obsessed with this white kimono and listed at $30 so perfect for the Summer over bathing suits! Definitely want to snag that head wrap for $8.

I am so excited for this too! I love those little coffee mugs and the pineapple home dish. I think online is the best bet, you can always return but I am not sure when it will be live either so I am setting my expectations really low !

I am soooo loving the line, their look book is amazing. I’m just concerned about online and the stores because you know EVERYONE is stoked about affordable LP. Usually the LP site crashes when they have sales, so I don’t know what Target’s deal will be. It might be worth going to the store, but then again, I bet a lot of ladies will be there too. Le sigh!

The only Target collaboration that I’ve been excited about and of course it launches when I’m out of the country. You can bet I’m sending my mom to raid the Charleston one!

I think I might be the only one who thinks this is not on brand for LP and I’m not even a fan of LP. To me, LP has always been more of a higher end company. For them to team up with Target to make inexpensive, less quality products just cheapens the brand for me.

I really dislike Target style collaborations with high end designers! You just can’t take something that costs $200 and make it $39.99 at Target without serious negative quality consequences, which is why one buys high-end pieces to begin with. I will say that I’m impressed the Lily prints still look so “Lily-esque” (unlike the hideous Missoni collab!) but the prints wont translate well to cheap cotton (necessary to meet Target’s price point) so… I’ll pass. But I’m pretty much alone in the “I’ll take one real Lily piece over five Target Lily pieces” camp, so if this is your vibe, rock on!
Can’t wait for the collection! Wish it was coming out sooner though so I could take it all with me on the honeymoon!

The fact that this is marked in my planner…… I can’t stop looking at all these fabulous pieces. Like I’ll take one of each dress please! I haven’t decided if I’m just going to buy everything on line or if I want to try on in store. My main Target is a bit chaotic and the presentation of the displays is always lacking. But we have two, so I guess I can pick my poison. I’m a little bittersweet about people throwing shade at the fact that these are so affordable. Really, it’s gross, give it a Google search. So many people are upset about this, and I’m just excited to rock it!

I wasn’t a big LP fan in the least bit. I actually laughed when the store opened up near me but this Target collection?!?! I want it all!! I think it is the price tag. Seeing this stuff be actually affordable and a little more every day is just lovely. I doubt I will get my hands on any of it…every collection that has come out is gone by the time I get online or to the store!

I can’t wait for this collaboration. I have to share that I snagged the Missoni Luggage, Phillip Lim handbag, and Jason Wu dress for my daughter which have all been some favorites of mine in the Target collaborations. For the Phillip Lim collab. my sister and I showed up 40 minutes early… and we were the only one’s waiting for the store to open. What the heck? Even when I got my luggage.. it wasn’t too crazy. Hoping the same happens for this line.
