May 8, 2014Seriously it is Friday yet? No? Okay…..moving on. I’m going to be honest I like doing these posts. One because I got great feedback the last time I did it from all of you and two they are not complete time zappers. I’m not going to lie I am a tad OCD as you all know…sometimes I get carried away in photoshop recreating traffic grids or writing on pictures and before I know it…..it’s one am and I am majorly tired.
Okay so let’s talk about some of the things I’ve been loving lately.
This brush.
I have very long hair as you well know but it is thin and I sleep on my back as we established yesterday. Therefore I get some serious gnarly knots at the base on my head that are made worse when my hair is wet after a shower. This brush is a miracle worker. Slides right through, gets the knots out and doesn’t get tangled in my hair. Since I hate paying for shipping of course I went through Amazon but they only sell them in two packs. Oh well! One for my house and one for Marks. You can also find them at your local Sally Beauty Supply.
This iPhone 5 Backup Battery
I leave this bad boy charged up and in my purse. I cannot tell you how many times this has saved me. Especially in a few scenarios with the significant other who needed a charge. To the rescue don’t mind if I do. I got mine at the local Anthropologie store.
This sleeve for my Macbook
Staying in the tech theme. I bought this sleeve for my new Macbook. I had this one before and honestly it did give it more cushion but I didn’t like how I couldn’t carry my cord with it. This one I shove the cord in the front and it’s good to roll. Plus it’s like ten bucks so at least it won’t break the bank.
This Mascara
I’ve said it before for my favorite daytime mascara it’s definitely this one by Perfekt. The Lash Perfection Gel. I have had this tube for so long and it does not dry out. It is a gel so it doesn’t dry out your lashes. It is a dark black and does not smudge….like take a hot Barre class and no running.
I still love They’re Real! for a dramatic nighttime look but I hate how it is so hard to come off. This removes with simple face washing. Try it I promise you will be absolutely hooked like I was!
These Barre/Yoga Leggings
I know I’ve said it like a million times but I am so obsessed with these Plie Tight leggings. They have washed and worn so well. You can pull the fabric over your heels or leave them scrunched around your ankles. They have just the perfect amount of compression. Come up just high enough on the waist but not too high. Athleta has the best customer service by far. I swear you will love them. They are a splurge but not as expensive as Lululemon. I have them in black and really want them in blue. I am usually a size 6 in Lulu pants and I got a small in these but honestly could have gotten an XS they run a tad big.
I mean it’s so perfect for Summer. Just like this one as well.

I have it but not in this print and I love it. Goes with so many things!
This Dress
I need this linen dress in my closet immediately.
This Lip Stain
I am all about natural daytime looks especially when at work. I got this Jane Iredale Forever Pink Lip and Cheek Stain in a Birchbox and when it ran out I scooped it up at Nordstroms. It has lasted me forever, way longer than the Fresh lip treatment. I am totally on the pH kick. This adjusts to your custom pink. It has olive and avocado butter as well as rose flower and beeswax. Definitely one of my new favs!
Finally…..
This Rice
This rice is so dang good. Make a piece of chicken with it and you have an easy meal. It has a sauce when it heats up so just put the chicken over it. It’s in the freezer section to the left of the Indian food but to the right of the frozen Mexican burritos (is that specific enough or what?) So flavorful it is a Mark approved Trader Joe’s purchase and we all know he is the connoisseur of my cooking ;-)

They have the Wet Brush at Target and I almost bought it yesterday. I was under the impression it dried your hair faster but guess I’m wrong! Tangles aren’t really my issue so I passed on it. I need that backup battery! My phone dies way too often and at the worst times. I always feel like I’m stranded and that of course it’s going to be the exact moment I get in a wreck and can’t call anyone!
I love those tops! So spring and fun!
That mac book sleeve is a great find! Especially for $10! I don’t know why I haven’t purchased those tights yet, I need them in my life!

Yep, I need that iPhone battery backup in my life right now. And, it’s cute – bonus! I’ve heard great things about the wet brush – there is a Sally’s right down the street from me, so maybe I will have to pop in there and check it out. My hair gets ridiculously tangled in the shower, too!

those leggings look so freaking fierce, and look fab on you (girl why be so skinny for, im too emotional today to handle this!) i love lorna jane leggings – they are an aussie brand and are fairly expensive but i have had the same pair for like, no joke, 8 years. crazy.
i want all the tops, but forever 21 and i are on a break right now. like, ross and rachel break. for reals. did you know when you return in store you only get credit? i didnt, and while it would be fine for normal shit, i wanted my money back haha. i also have 2 new bras on the way (in small what what).

Can I tell you how happy it makes me when I go to a link and it takes me to amazon… haha! Checking out that macbook case right now! Your lashes look amazing! I might have to look into that mascara because one of my biggest issues with mascara is if it’s too hard to come off, I can’t handle it! Weird, I know.

I am OBSESSED with my Wet Brush!! It’s actually going to be on my May product faves at the end of the month, but I seriously don’t know how I ever brushed my hair before that thing, ha!
My Wet Brush is the only thing that keeps me sane after a shower. My hair is super long and thick and brushing it is the bane of my existence. Thankfully the Wet Brush has been my lifesaver lately.
Was thinking of trying a new Mascara! Going to give this one a whirl next time I’m at Sephora (getting that Stila blush…)
I use Perfekt CC cream. I will check out their mascara when I run out!
I love reading your favorite things post because you actually use a lot of stuff I think I would like! I am a huge “They’re Real” fan, but I agree that it can be hard to get completely off. I may have to give this other a try too! And that brush!!! You KNOW I get all sorts of knots with this thin stringy hair!

I love that top! I hardly ever brush my hair b/c I wear it up so much… so usually only before I shower, unless I’m wearing it down. I use the Tangle Teezer and it is a DREAM COME TRUE. Doesn’t hurt whatsoever.

Great picks! I really need to get one of those back up batteries. It would be a great thing to have just in case. I always worry about being stranded some place and then my cell phone dies. Question about that lip stain. How pink is it? I’m looking for a neutral/pinky lip stain that gives me just the right amount of color.

I still need to try the Wet Brush! My hair is always a disaster after I get out of the shower, no matter how much conditioner I use. I even use the Johnson & Johnson baby tangle spray on it, haha! And thanks for filling up my spring wish list.. love that first white top!

That iPhone battery back up is going on my wish list right meow! I wish that wet brush would work on my nappy hair! My mom sells them at her beauty salon and she swears by them but they don’t work for me! Grrrrr.
