So I know everyone has said that the time before your Wedding really flies by but y’all were not joking! It’s hard I talk about this with Mark all the time, it’s such a seesaw with wanting to talk all things Wedding and feeling like a “bride” to then being back to reality and the day to day like you know……work. Plus you know how it is with men, you get a small window of time in which they will discuss wedding things and then once you try to take that extra step to talk about linen colors, well then you lost them.
So as you are all well aware of my crazy OCD tendencies I made…..(I can’t believe I’m admitting this) 3 separate Wedding websites. They all brought something different to the table. One you could play a song with, another had a beautiful design and then another one was more basic. I’ve also been trying to think of a creative # combination for the wedding. My one girlfriend just got married and her husbands last name is Nash so her # was #nashbash. I mean can that be anymore perfect?
I’m now telling my mother and sister about my crazy neurotic ways about my insane amount of wedding websites I created and I wanted their feedback on which on to add to the save the date. I was torn about which one to use, then like my mother always tells me “Amanda just put it out there and something will come back” I was contacted by this amazing company called Wedding Party. Basically it is a custom website and app that is created just for your wedding. You get a full website where you can add photo albums that are categorized into memory lane, engagement, bridal shower and wedding. You add your registry, event and accommodations.
So you have the wedding website you can access and then you get your own app created for you.
Adding the content was honestly seamless because you can upload all the photos from you camera roll. On the other sites I was using, I found it pretty cumbersome to add all the hotel accommodations but this one you search and it finds it by google maps and adds it so easily with stock photos from their hotels. Then add your event details and links straight to all your registries.
Here is the coolest part that I love. So you invite all your friends. Unlike waiting for Mark to get back to me with all his addresses to send the save the dates (which are coming I promise!). You send invites through text, email or Facebook. My mother is pretty good with her iPhone but not the most technologically advanced…..literally 30 seconds after I texted her the link, she had joined the app, set up her own profile as a wedding guest and was on “Team Amanda”. From the guests page, you can check all the guests and see the relation to the bride and groom.
This is actually my favorite part. Instead of putting all your pictures out into Instagram for the entire world to see all your guests can upload the pictures from your wedding right into Wedding Party and only your guests can see it. Like all those Photo Booth pics later on in the night after a few too many libations…..yeah those don’t need to be going on Instagram and Facebook for the entire world to see.
So as I was making my account and loving every feature I was stumbling upon I kept on waiting for the checkout button because every other website that I used was well over $50 even some ranging up to $250 for an entire year of service. I was so in love with this site though I was willing to write it off into the outrageous wedding budget fund. You ready for this??

Yes you read that right.
Also there are no annoying pop ups or ads on the bottom. It is seriously 100% free. I honestly wish I found this to begin with and didn’t waste spend my time making all those other websites. Ashley and Amanda this is amazing you have to try it!
I am so excited to have this and let my guests upload photos and comment along throughout this journey! I already sent the invite to a number of my friends and they love it. They have uploaded pictures into the feed (I may have to revoke some people’s privileges if they think of finding my 21st birthday pictures).
Oh and unlike the wedding websites where you have to pay to own your domain for a year……once again oh yes Wedding Party is free. Also your app and website doesn’t expire. So you can add pictures from your honeymoon and other fun things if your guests want to continue to stay active and keep up with you. I mean how cool is that seriously.
I honestly am so excited about this custom wedding app and website. I am going to add it to our save the dates. To get the word out about Wedding Party let’s do a little giveaway you cool with that? Everyone would love a little extra spending money right? If it’s for that wedding prep or just a way to spoil yourself.
Alright so what do y’all think? Isn’t this the best Wedding tool you’ve ever seen? It seriously took me about an hour to get my whole app and website together. Hmmm, I think I need to have a wedding re-do so I can use this app. HA! Oh my goodness, coming up with a good/not cheesy/but still funny wedding hashtag is the hardest. I spent too much time on that one…

That’s pretty awesome and very cool it’s free! I used Martha Stewart’s wedding tools when I got married two years ago and couldn’t have stayed on track without her budget calculator tool. I’m sure there’s lots more cool options out there.
