You know that scene in Mean Girls when Regina George is furiously writing in the burn book with that large marker and rage talking out loud as she writes into the book? That was pretty much me this weekend when I was told by United Airlines that their Customer Care center is closed on the weekends but if I would like to write a complaint on united.com/feedback somebody would respond to me in 7-10 business days. Ughhhhh why are they the worst airlines in the entire world???? So I got to spend another glorious night in the Spartanburg area eating a king size bag of Peanut M&M’s and cold fries. Total joy. Even though they were sweet potato fries……it still didn’t remedy the situation. Linking up with Biana and Meghan!
This pretty much felt like the longest weekend ever starting with a 5am wakeup call for my 730 am flight out of Tampa through Atlanta with arriving in Greenville/Spartanburg. My PureBarre training wasn’t until Saturday so I took the whole day to cozy up in my fluffy hotel bed and read Joey’s book in an entire day. I literally couldn’t put it down. It was the first book I have read in forever and it was such a good read! I highly recommend picking it up!
Have any of you been to Spartanburg before? There is no CVS or Walgreens but apparently this town has a real love affair with thai food. I swear there is more in a square radius then people who live in that actual area.
I mean don’t get me wrong I love some thai food but not when you have an entire day of workout training ahead of you! If you’re ever in the area (get water ahead of time apparently) and make sure you check out Lime Leaf.
Training was fabulous until I got to the airport only to realize that my flight was delayed just enough to miss my connection……and there was no way I could get home to Tampa.
So back to another hotel I went. I was kinda holding it in until I got the “awww babe I miss you I was looking forward to seeing you tonight” and then I went all Regina George on the United airlines phone line. Oh well I did learn two valuable lessons this weekend.
Number one. This is definitely not a sharing size. Unless I plan on sharing all of it…..with myself…..because if that’s the case…..then it’s the perfect size.
Number two. Want to see what a $7 food voucher can get you?
It dubbed as dinner and breakfast. I am happy to say I did successfully make it home after meeting some interesting people on the way home.
I came home to these from Mark. I think he missed me. Cupcakes from Cakes by Ron who did our wedding.
I also taught at my studio, got a quick power nap, mani, laundry and got everything lined up for this week with posts. You will not want to miss the Wedding Wednesday post this week! ugh united is the worst! i just keep hearing horror story after another. i actually have flown southwest a lot and love them. they are always nice if anything comes up. but anyway i’m glad you’re back to sunny florida and i can’t wait for wed’s post! xo

i will only go on air canada if i absolutely have to because they are the worst. the last airline that really impressed me was Delta. they lost kayla’s car seat when we went to florida and not only did they leave us a message as we were getting off the plane (and had no idea that they had lost it) but they told us exactly where it was, when it would be arriving and even had a guy drop it off at our condo. prior to the delivery, they emailed my husband a picture of the driver who would be dropping off our car seat with his arrival time at our place. if that’s not service, i dont know what is!!!

Having flights not work out is the worst! And United just merged with American, making them the worst airlines on the face of the planet. American cancelled a flight on me for no reason, and I was stuck in DC for 40 hours, no vouchers or anything. So… At least you got a bag of popcorn? Glad you finally made it back, and hopefully got a lot of great Thai in!

United is THE WORST. I used to love Ametican, but it’s hit or miss now that they merged with USAir. Glad you are home, and I LOVE that your hubs brought cupcakes!!!

Oh no that is awful! I have hated United for ever, but having their stupid mileage card has been a huge money saver especially being in a long distance relationship. Seriously not open on the weekends?! They fly planes on the weekends, so why shouldn’t customer service be there!! At least you finally got home to your hubby and what a sweetheart for getting you cupcakes!! Also, that is totally a self-sharing size!
Getting stuck is the worst! And how does a place that runs 24/7 not have a customer care center open 7 days a week?! That is pure crazy to me! We generally fly Southwest… I’m actually not sure I’ve ever flown anything but that (except AeroMexico once).

Southwest is the airline I will never ever fly again I am always at least 4 hours delayed and for reasons like “no flight crew”! I sent them some fan mail and got tickets reimbursed once but yuck! I swear by Delta! Glad you finally got home and had cupcakes to top it off!

Ugh that’s the worst! When I was on my way home on Christmas Eve this year one of my flights was delayed so long that I missed the next two connections they booked me on. Thankfully there was one last one (that I literally had to run to catch) or I wouldn’t have made it home for Christmas. I’m glad you got home safe eventually – those cupcakes look almost worth the wait for!

We were so close! I live about an hour from Greenville. It really stinks you had so many problems with United. They are actually my favorite airline. I prefer them over Delta but mostly have flown with them internationally. You need to use your Barre powers and have them open a Pure Barre in Clemson!
