It’s so hard to get back into the swing of life after a vacation am I right? I pretty much got off the plane and right to teaching a full barre class, then home to grading papers and back to blog post inspiration. I thought I’d ease back into things with my happy place. The Estate in Sarasota where we got married was owned by Powel Crosley. He was an inventor and owner of the Cincinnati Reds for numerous years. The Winter retreat for the Crosley family was at it’s peak of entertaining during the 20’s and very close to the Ringling Mansion. That is why I wanted a total 20’s vintage Gatsby feel to the day. One of my favorite vendors was our Photo Booth which was a restored gangster car. I will have a full post just about that because it was seriously such a highlight of the night. It was also our getaway car.
There was a beautiful room on the top floor that overlooked the back of the house onto the water. Can we talk about the lighting in here?
Do a first look. Remember we talked about it here. These were all the amazing pictures we got together before the ceremony started.
This is inside of the ship room that is made entirely out of wood. The detail of the wood work is seriously stunning. Shooting inside of a round room is not easy but of course Dustin nailed it.
Now onto the ceremony at the back of the estate.

I love the colors you chose for your wedding. It really suited the 20’s vibe you were going for. GAWD that dress. I think I could see a million photos and still be stunned at the detailing.
