Happy Monday. What a whirlwind of a weekend! I had never been to Charleston and it did not disappoint. I will say make sure to fast before you go because that city revolves around good food. Also, make sure to bring some Evian spray (B you were a life saver for that) and some oil blotting wipes because it gets mighty hot there in the Summer. We had such a wonderful trip and got to meet so many lovely Charleston gals…..now back to reality. Get ready for pictures and rooftop shots overload. Here is my Charleston Recap, Weekending with Biana.
Thursday, I arrived on time, if you followed me on snapchat (@meetatthebarre) you saw I was on a tiny plane…….like we all had to move to the back of the plane for weight distribution.
I wish I was joking. However, it was a direct flight and a little over an Hour from Tampa, so I white knuckled it the entire way. I met up with B and Pamela was shortly behind. We checked into the Spectator hotel, narrowly escaping the torrential rain, I thought I left Florida?!?!?! The hotel just opened and was absolutely stunning. It was pretty much my dream Pinterest boards come to life.
I mean any bathroom that three girls can get ready in at once, comfortably, is a win in my book. Plus, they brought us breakfast in bed every morning (complimentary!) I have a full review of the Spectator coming at you, stay tuned.
Plus, they had bikes that we took for a quick spin.
Thursday night was low key with a Charleston staple at Hank’s Seafood as I’ve been told. The grouper with the goat cheese risotto was one of my favorite meals of the trip.
Friday…..was hotter than any day I can honestly remember but I’m pretty sure we walked off and sweated off every meal and ailments that we had prior. That heat was something else y’all. We headed over to Husk for lunch. My burger was delicious. Biana had a too literal of a farm to table moment. If you go, get the burger…..not the salad if you catch my drift.
Then Friday we headed over to the rooftop at Vendue to meet up with these lovely ladies, Meg, Carly and Shelby. The food was alright but the drinks and the views were worth it.
We capped off the night with another potion concocted drink at the bar inside of our hotel.
Saturday was a much more pleasant weather wise day. I took advantage of the tax free shopping weekend. Didn’t we pick the best time to visit?

We had a blogger brunch meet up on Saturday at Poogan’s Porch. So much fun being able to see everyone that I talk to on a daily basis. Ashley, Ally, Cait, Shelby, Jillian, Pamela and Biana.
Took a carriage ride around the city. I love hearing all about each cities history.
We then walked all over exploring the beautiful houses.
Then finished up the night at Taco Boy.
Sunday, my bag a little fuller……I packed it all up and headed to the airport. There were so many more pictures I wanted to share but didn’t want to bombard you with picture overload. This was pretty much the three of us all weekend.
We had such a wonderful trip! There is my Charleston recap. I cannot wait for the next one! Thank you to all the Charleston girls for all your amazing recommendations and to the Spectator hotel for the beautiful accommodations. We will be back for sure! Such a fun trip! You can’t go wrong in Charleston – well besides the heat haha. That was a killller when we were there last July but at least you sweat off all of the good food, right?! Loved all of the pictures!
