I used to spend hours obsessing over my spin playlists when I used to teach. It had to have the perfect flow, a great transition between songs, and energy. Plus, my studio had projector screens so we could play the music videos that went with the songs. Basically, another task since I am OCD and had to find the latest/greatest song to drop. Also, so many long intros to the videos! These are not mini movies my friends! Now that is one less thing off my plate but I still do have the itch sometimes to make the perfect playlist. Since the weather is hopefully cooling off soon, I am trying to get back into running. I can only run with music, not on a windy day, the perfect temperature out, and when there is lower humidity……you know just a few specifics that have to be right in order for me to motivate. Here is my current playlist that is in the rotation!
Just in case you want a nice easy to pin version.
I am a big breakfast grab and go kind of person. I do not have the time in the morning to sit down and have a leisurely breakfast while scrolling through Facebook. My breakfast has to be easily transportable and has to have enough protein to keep me full until lunch. I am suuuuuper picky when it comes to my protein. A lot of cheaper proteins are made with whey isolate or an animal based proteins that then have a lot of cholesterol in it. Plus, I want to be able to read every single ingredient in the list and understand it.
When I was contacted by OLLY to try out their newest product line which is Smoothies, I jumped at the chance. I already use their vitamins so I was familiar with the brand. What I like about the smoothies right off the bat is that there are two serving options. One scoop is a protein packed snack or two scoops is a meal replacement. I have been making them for breakfast and also for a quick snack after work before I teach barre to hold me over until dinner.
This is a Vegan based smoothie line with pea based protein and flaxseed. The sweetener is cane sugar and it contains a prebiotic fiber. My favorite is the Energy Smoothie Cafe Mocha Protein Blend. I actually have replaced my cup of coffee in the mornings with this! I mix mine with almond milk but it tastes really good in water as well. I made Mark one with a scoop of almond butter. It was delicious and packed enough protein to hold him over.
If you liked this playlist make sure to check my previous ones here, and here.

Love the playlist! B.O.B. by Outkast is on point, love it haha! I started running again, too, since it’s finally cooling off! Although when I run with the double stroller and both babies, I’m easily pushing 50lbs so I’m not sure if it’s really considered running or “fast waddling”. :)

I love finding protein supplements that don’t contain Whey and have way more natural ingredients! Definitely checking these out!

You always have the best playlists! Several of these songs are on mine already but I will add some more. I remember you talking about Olly vitamins before I think? I haven’t been doing protein smoothies since pregnant, but I will be looking to go back to them for after baby and will 100% keep this in mind. I was real picky about what kind I bought before and did About Time because they are a more natural one and I understood what was in it. This sounds like fabulous option to. Can you find them at Target since they sell their vitamins there? That’s what I hated with About Time, it was online only. GNC is filled with crap and carry nothing natural. It was so annoying.

I have never seen this brand before, I need to find it. I only use vegan protein powder so this is right up my alley! This playlist is so great! I don’t run but it would just as fun to drive to or have a Friday night dance party!

I will definitely need to add some of these new songs to my running playlist! I always listen to the same ones and then I get burnt out on them!

lol at your specifics for running! i get that, i have my own things as well. except i don’t like running with music, i think i am the only person in the world haha. always looking for a new protein powder, this one sounds awesome! i normally add mine to an actual smoothie (the smoothie on its own doesn’t hold me over until lunch, i know, i’m a fatty!) but good to know these ones are good with just water or milk. stupid question, does the cafe mocha one mean coffee? i might try the other one then.

That sports bra is adorable and I’m with you – the temp needs to be right, no wind, basically the 7th day of a new moon on an equinox type ish for me to want to run ;) Olly is a great brand, I worked with them on some vitamins and was impressed!
