Hello, my loves! I apologize for my absence yesterday but we flew back from Boston with a 7am flight so therefore I was playing catch up all day on Monday. I took an entire week off of work last week and I haven’t done that since I took that much time off for my honeymoon over 2 years ago. I am always a fan of breaking up the work week with long weekend trips but I’ll tell you what, a week away was definitely a break that I needed. I’m paying for it now with a million emails to follow up on but it was all worth it.
We started the beginning of the week down in Miami for the Baseball All Star Game, it was Mark’s birthday and that was his request (also due to the fact it is where he grew up and family currently resides). Did y’all watch that home run derby?!?!? That was the most exciting sports event I’ve seen in a long time. We then had a nice 4-hour drive back to then catch a flight to Boston which rounded out the rest of the birthday activities, including catching a Red Sox/Yanks game. Now, most of you may know but I grew up in Boston so that was such a nice trip back home. I’m glad I checked the weather before we went, 60 degree weather felt like Winter for this now Florida girl. We had such a wonderful trip, got to see Biana and don’t worry I’ll have a full recap coming up for you. I wanted to check in with a few pieces that I picked up before I left for the trip that I wanted to share with you. Some are from the Nordstrom sale and others aren’t. Side note, in alllll realness. Are y’all sick of the sale or still want some sale info? I definitely feel like it’s a little saturated but there were some great Fall staples at really good price points that I think are worth talking about. Just let me know!
I picked up this drying mat, it’s super wide and I love the plastic slots for propping up dishes. Wash it once or twice a week. So much cleaner to me instead of those drying racks with the trays that are magnets for stagnant water.
I grabbed this Joie dress (the Zealana dress) for the Summer, it’s perfect for the heat and incredibly soft.
This ruffle top by Alice + Olivia is a splurge but it’s such a great staple and both colors are so gorgeous. I sized up on it because it does run small.
I grabbed these pumps for work, Sam Edelman makes the most comfortable pumps and both are staple colors.
I snagged this dress during the Nordstrom stale and it’s great for travel, does not wrinkle and can easily be transitioned from work to night. Also, really great price point.
I love the sleeves on this top and it has the prettiest tie back. It would also look super cute tucked into a pencil skirt. It’s also under $40!
This is my favorite dress from the Nordstrom sale, it looks super high end and it’s just over $60.
This is another great dress from the sale, if you are still holding onto Summer then this dress is for you.
I wore these Keds the entire time we were in Boston and they are so comfy and go with everything.
Happy shopping dolls! I hope everyone is having a great week. What did you pick up from the sale? I don’t want to even admit how many multiple shipments I’ve had come to me!
