I recently went back to work and wanted to thank everyone for all your sweet love and support. It definitely is not easy but I really feel confident I have the best-case scenario for myself and Patrick. Unfortunately, nowadays it is really hard for both parents to stay home, life is just too expensive right? Plus, the whole healthcare insurance issue. I’ve always been super Type A and a planner now adding another human being into the mix plus pumping equipment….I am totally a bag lady. I sit at night and during feeding sessions thinking about how I’m going to coordinate everything with work and a nursing schedule. When I come home it’s all about cleaning out bottles, nursing equipment etc., plus then to sterilize them all. Patrick heads up to bed at 7pm so I want to spend all my precious hours with just him when I get back from work. I don’t want to waste any time with all the prep work. I am really trying to streamline the process. It’s not always a perfect science but I am trying to come up with a system.
I’ll tell you I really had no idea how much your world changes after you have a baby. It’s really all about him, which is 100% what I want it to be but I thought I was busy before….I had no idea what that meant. Plus, add sleep deprivation on top of it. Life is chaotic and a little messy for my OCD self, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! This kiddo is the light of my life and he’s such a good baby. He wakes up with the best smiles, has started belly laughing, and plays with my hair when he falls asleep on my shoulder. I seriously feel like I won the baby lottery with him. He’s pretty perfect!
Now that he is in school (daycare but school makes me feel better) I am really soaking up every minute at home with him. Bath time is our favorite family activity. My husband Mark and I have our assignments and Patrick just adores splashing around in the water. He kicks his feet and slaps his hands in the water with such joy. I enjoy using the Ivory products on him because they are so pure and gentle.
The company has been around for 138 years! It is whipped with air and is so pure it floats in water. The less ingredients in a label is what I tend to gravitate towards. I also like it can work for the whole family. I particularly use the Ivory Free & Gentle Body Wash with Pear & Sandalwood. The bodywash is free of dye and parabens. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry like other traditional soaps and has a nice clean smell. It has a nourishing moisture formula sensitive on skin yet serious on the clean! My sister was just visiting and she commented on how clean her skin felt but yet not dry like most traditional soaps. Her kids are now getting into the tweens age and she was going to scoop it up. They are definitely in the age range where they need it now! It also contains the #1 Dermatologist-Recommended moisturizer ingredient. Families have trusted the Ivory for over 138 years. A company has to stand behind its quality to be around for that long right?
The Ivory Original 3-bar and Ivory Original Body Wash are both free of dyes and heavy perfumes. The Ivory Original 3-bar is the same pure soap families have trusted for generations but with a new look. The Ivory Original Body Wash has a new gentle formula which my family loves.
There is seriously nothing better than a newborn baby smell, right? I think a lot of that has to do with their baths. Ivory leaves the little ones and your entire family clean with its simple formula. It is also an affordable price point and a little goes a long way. I love the memories we are building together as a family and the company which has been taking care of families for generations past and to come.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Ivory. The opinions and text are all mine.

Simplify is the name of the game. Cutting down on all those choices out there and having a go to product for everyone sounds great!

Hehe look at that little foot in that last picture! When I took Zoe to the doctor on Tuesday, I mentioned her eczema on her back was really bad during her baths and her doctor recommended Ivory to me. Do they make a specific baby one, or is it with the regular soaps? I need to pick one up this weekend.
Also, I feel that cleaning bottles is a full time job lol. There were months where I felt like that is ALL I did.

Thats so good that he’s a good baby! I’m sure that takes a little of the edge off coordinating everything.

Great job mama! Going back to work must have been so tough. How do you guys get a 7pm bedtime!? I swear i have a little nightown on my hands, she doesn’t like to go to sleep until like 10pm. That being said she’s been sleeping from 10 to 6am so I really can’t complain. I guess I’d rather her go to sleep late and not have to wake up ;)
