Aren’t men seriously the hardest people to buy for? There are only so many times you can buy them a watch or wallet am I right? Especially when it comes to my dad, he seriously has everything. So for this year, I asked Karen’s son Grant Barker for his advice since he is a guy and the gift giving guru. Here is the list he came up for this years Father’s Day gift guide. I already have this bookmarked for Mark’s birthday coming up next week! These are just ideas though, you can always use this list for inspiration, but if you find something you like, you can then research into the products yourself to make sure you have the right one for your father. Websites such as Buyers Impact (visit their page here) can be useful so you can find a recommended brand and model.
Gift Guide
Best For: Any Dad
Mahabis Larvik Dark Grey Classics
Stylish slippers with a removable rubber outsole for everyday adventures in and out of the house. So comfortable you may even want them for yourself. Seriously, these are amazing. Why haven’t I thought of this before? Slippers you can wear in or out of the house with a change of a sole.
It seems like every dad has about 100 keys, let him organize some of them “Swiss Army Knife” style. For an extra $12 it comes with an integrated 8GB flash drive. This is one of my favorites Father’s Day gift guide ideas.
Best For: The Chef
If dad likes to cook; he hasn’t chopped until he’s chopped with a Japanese knife. Japanese knives have a 17 degree edge compared to the 22 degree edges of their western counterparts making them feel like absolute razors.
Ditch the flimsy plastic cutting boards of yore for 20”x14” of prime chopping real estate. Dad’s a proper chef now.
Best For: The “Wired” Dad
UltimEars Boom Bluetooth Speaker
Hands down the best Bluetooth speaker I’ve ever used, the sound quality is amazing. Up to 15 hours playback. Shock and water resistant for clumsy dads. There are $50 dollar options out there, but if quality is important, this one is worth every penny. I’m adding this to my gift guide for Mark as well.
Innori 22400mAh Mobile Power Bank
This bad boy will charge pop’s phone about 9 times or an iPad about twice. Free dad from his 3-foot-wall-charger prison.
Best For: The Outdoorsman
Folding. Rocking. Chair. Dads and rocking chairs go together like peanut butter and jelly. This one speaks for itself for any dad that loves the great outdoors.
Benchmade is the Louis Vuitton of the knife world. Any outdoorsman will highly appreciate the toughness and quality. Mine is an every day necessity. Plus, every dad loves pocket knives.
Best For: The Backyard Barbecuer
Keeps drinks colder 3x longer. Perfect for long days of summer grilling. An added bonus, the double-walled vacuum design prevents condensation so mom won’t yell at him when he leaves it on the coffee table without a coaster.
You’ll reap all the benefits if dad shares any of his delicious ribs and brisket with you. Electric is the future of smoking, a ‘set-and-forget’ mentality if you will. I recommend hickory wood chips.
Best For: The Fisherman
A floating filet knife with integrated ‘bonker’, cleaning spoon, and sharpener tough enough for any nautical adventures dad can throw at it.
Adamsbuilt HO2 Fly Rod Combination Package
Fly fishing isn’t just for picturesque Alaskan streams. Great for catching fish in Florida’s shallow coastal waters as well.
Best For: The Weekend Warrior
Self myofascial release, no matter how dirty it may sound is how athletes everywhere are speeding recovery time and preventing injury. Perfect for all the dads without ‘dadbods’.
Dad can enter the world of fitness and sleep tracking as well as tracking his heart rate and speed on runs and bike rides.
Best For: ‘Mr. Fixit’
Cantilever toolboxes are a classic; it’s likely your granddad has one. I don’t know why modern toolboxes’are simply a large plastic box with a latch to throw all your disorganized junk in, but any dad with the ‘do-it-yourself’ attitude will appreciate the old-fashioned and well-made appeal of this toolbox.
Believe it or not, there is quite a large unoccupied niche between screwdriver and drill. Dad will certainly thank you for this during his next DIY project.

Thank you Grant for all these incredible and innovative gift guide ideas! He is off to med school in the Fall can you tell? :-)
I want every single one of them for myself, my dad and Mark! I’m saving this one for Mark’s birthday coming up next month! What do you think? Which one of these is your favorites? Have you heard of half of these yet? I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! xoxoxo

These are awesome! Josh isn’t a dad yet but when we got married he had us register for a freaking huge wooden cutting board. I think this is list is pretty accurate! haha

My Dad is hard to shop for since he is not really handy or have a lot of hobbies but the shoes would be nice.
So many great ideas! That key thing is pretty awesome! I don’t have a million but I have enough where that thing intrigues me haha!
<3, Pamela
Sequins & Sea Breezes
What great finds, lady! These would all make my dad happy :)!
My dad is seriously the hardest person to buy for!!! I am loving all the tech stuff and really like the charging option – probably need to settle on that one!!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
A great list for a great group of guys! I’d be ok with some of these myself :)
I don’t have a clue what to get my husband for fathers day. He never hints at anything he wants throughout the year. And when it comes time to ask him, he says… “don’t get me anything!”
Ugh… thanks a lot Bill! HAHA
Nice list! The Swiss Army style key chain is really cool. Will has so many keys it’s ridiculous. I have 2!
I’d like the Japanese knife for myself although something that sharp kind of scares me :)
Have a great day!

what a detailed varied list! love it. i don’t have a dad so i’ll keep these in mind for KC’s birthday ;)
This list is AWESOME! I have actually gotten Josh and my brother a few things off this (Boon speaker and my Shun is the BEST) and I am about to order a few more for early holiday gifts! Amazing list girl!!!
What a great list. My dad is the total outdoor guy. Dads are SO hard to buy for.
I should send you some quotes of some of the things that my Dad says. You would appreciate his sense of humor haha. He is in his 70’s and he’s a real New Yorker. :-) Anyway..I should get that foam roller for Chris for his birthday. He has mentioned a few times that he likes to use them at the gym. Thanks for sharing a great round up of items. I will keep this list in mind since my Dad’s birthday is next week and yeah then Father’s Day. Have a great day lady!! :-)
They really are hard to shop for! If we aren’t going for personal gifts for dad, we are always grabbing tools or grilling equipment for them!

Husband has had his eye on a work bench. . . . but, won’t show me which one.
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO EFFECTIVELY SHOP IF HE WONT HELP! hahahaha.
And this is a great list!
Love all of these ideas!!! My dad is the worst to buy for!!!!
I have absolitely nothing for my dad. I need to work on that.
Is it bad that I want most of these things for myself? I would seriously love to have that chopping block. Gorgeous!
My dad is impossible to shop for too! Hopefully I can pick one of these up for him!
Really great picks! My dad is easy to buy for; I just get him new work shirts, slippers, jeans or a book. The hubs is a different story. This year I’m thinking new workout gear, a new Fitbit or other such device (since he dove into the pool in his last weekend) or something from REI. Usually can’t go wrong there. :)
Great list gurlie! My dad would love that chair, as he’s happiest outside :)
My hubs wants that FitBit Surge… I do too! :)
Great ideas!! I just wish there was one for my hubs/baby daddy… We have all the culinary stuff already (including the BEST knives), hubs is not an outdoors man (thank the sweet Lord and baby Jesus, I don’t need deer heads and camo in my house, thanks) , he’s Mr. Hire-It-Out not Mr. Fix It, he’s super athletic but already has a fitbit/golf clubs/running shoes/tennis racquet and I just bought him a wallet for his birthday… !!!! However, Mr. Forgetful DID just leave his wallet on the plane (fully loaded with cash and credit cards mind you) so maybe “The Man Who Has Everything” will get another one, lol! Or maybe I’ll get crafty with Henry…
Fancy fancy, and no, I haven’t heard of half of these. I think that’s what makes them so interesting though. I plan on getting my fiance a DQ Cotton Candy Blizzard cake, per his request. Plus I’ve made a calendar on Shutterfly with all our family moments from the past year. (:
Adam’s not a dad (unless you count our furbabies, lol!) but these are great ideas for his birthday! He would love that chef’s knife, he’s more the cook than I am and he loves cooking tools like that! He would also love the tools and the pocket knife! Great ideas!
He came up with such a great list of stuff to cover a variety of interests that men typically fall into. I’ve heard those shun knives are the best and a smoker would benefit everyone in the house! lol Keeping this list in mind for future father and husband gifts…
My Dad is the literal worst when it comes to gifts – the man buys everything he wants before anyone else can get it for him! This year I’m getting him a car detail because he’s a neat freak and I don’t think he’s ever had one, and some of his favourite classic VHS movies from the cottage (yes we still watch VHS movies up there haha) on BluRay since he just bought a new tv. That bluetooth speaker would be great for the dock though!
That key organizer and rocker chair are pretty cool- all great and unique ideas!! xo
My dad is seriously the hardest dad to shop for: he doesn’t fish, doesn’t have a smart phone (or even an email address haha), and isn’t exactly Mr. Fix-It haha! I do LOVE the Fitbit idea…maybe I could try and bring him into the 21st century ;)
This is perfecto! So glad you posted this bc YES men are the hardest to shop for! Hope you’re doing fab girl! xo
This is great, I love this because guys seriously are the hardest to shop for!! My hubbys bday is next week and I’ve made 0 progress, so this came right in time!
Oh man, I never know what to get my dad! Tools would be a good idea.
Girl, thank you for this post! I could NOT figure out what to get my dad, but that Kombo fishing tool is going to him! You rock! xo
such an abundance of fab finds! Its my husbands first fathers day – so ours is extra special
