Rediscovering Products
January 16, 2014BareMinerals Bronzing Mineral Vail with SPF 25. If you want a simple daytime look to sweep on and go this is your answer. It gives you the prettiest overall glow with just a hint of golden glimmer without being too glittery for daytime use. I remember buying this from the store (those are artists are such hustlers right???? I went in for my free eyeshadow and came out with 4 new things including one brush!) The guy who did my makeup “do you have 5 minutes I’ll just do a quick sweep”….aka 4 new products later…he was arguing with his other male counterpart about how pretty this bronzer was and how they were “fighting” over the last two in the store….I can’t make this stuff up.
Stilia Waterproof Eyeliner. I absolutely loved these liners and had them in so many colors. The purple tang is my favorite especially with blue or green eyes. It has a dark purple color with tiny burgundy micro glitter. It goes on super smooth and lasts all day.
Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara. Great daytime mascara. It claims to grow lashes longer….I don’t know all about that but it keeps the lashes soft so they don’t get brittle and fall out. It is also great for layering. For a nighttime dramatic look I will put this one and finish with the Benefit They’re Real which you can read my full review of that here.
12 Benefits. I realize this isn’t a makeup but I found it last night. I spray it on my ends after showering and it makes your hair so unbelievable soft, shiny and gets all the knots out of my hair. It has you guessed it 12 benefits including protecting your hair from hot irons/blowdryers. It was a cult favorite from Birchbox and sold out forever. I bought it the minute it came off backorder. It lasts forever, a little goes a long way!
Sephora Collection Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. Since black eyeliner and mascara are part of my daily routine I am very picky about my eye makeup remover. 90% of the products I have tried would not remove all traces. I was unfortunately a Lancome Bi-Facil loyalist but for $28 it made me cringe whenever I bought it. This Sephora Collection is $10 for the same size and in my opinion is a dupe for Lancome. Check it out and let me know what you think!
Sephora Collection Color Reveal Lip Balm. I am a Sugar Lip Tint addict but one of the very friendly Sephora associates directed me to this one day. It is a perfect everyday lip balm. The best part it adjusts to your pH to make your own customized sheer pink. It has a vanilla scent and has nice staying power. Best part $13 over the Sugar Lip Treatment at $22.50
Nars Blush in Oasis. I know everyone talks about the Orgasm color and I have it and do love it but this one is actually my favorite. It is a little deeper mauve color with micro glitter. It catches the light beautifully especially at night.
Are any of these in your daily rotation? What products have you rediscovered in your own product land of misfits and forgotten? Have a fabulous day! xoxoxoxoxo

i’m going to look into that 12 benefits stuff…. as far as the eye make up remover- i used to use target brand in the green cap but of course they discontinued it and now only carry the purple cap.. i believe green was loreal and the purple is supposed to be neutrogena, but anway… i hate the purple stuff because its so unbelieveably greasy!! the loreal target one was not at all and worked SO good… so why haven’t i bought the loreal one? actually thats a great question and i dont know but the point of me commenting is to find out do you feel like the one you use leaves a layer of grease on your eyelids and in your eyes??

I’ll have to look into 5&7 they sound awesome thank you!! Have you ever heard of Avon? My aunt sells it so I usually get avon products for my birthday or Xmas . Surprisingly they have some good mascaras. I think the name of the one I’m using right now is diva.
