Weekending The One Where I Got All Fancied Up

This weekend went by too fast.  I know it feels like it every weekend but I could have had one extra day or maybe even half a day? Honestly I just needed more time to watch Gilmore girls lets be honest.  I only got one episode in and then life took back over and I felt guilty about laying on the couch and not enjoying the gorgeous non scorching weather and decided I needed to get moving again.  Linking up with Biana and Meghan.

First Pumpkin has arrived to Trader Joe’s…..those croutons….get them.  They are seriously little crack bites.  Also the pumpkin muffins at Costco……worth every single calorie and I’m sure there are hundreds.

Friday night we made it over to the Birchwood and it wasn’t pouring so we actually got to take in the sights from the rooftop.                                                                                                 Love living in Florida.

Wore this little number

I have never gotten so many compliments on a dress in my life.  Excellent buy and it was on sale.  Leather accents remember from this Fall trending post?

Saturday we went to the wedding and since I was too busy doing this

I didn’t get like any pictures in.  Don’t you love guys.  You feel the eye roll of the pictures but then the next morning I got the “hey babe we didn’t get any pictures with each other last night”….

I did manage to get this one.  In the shadows.  When we were on the water at a beautiful location.  Total failure.                                                                                                         Warning shoes on repeat….

I did get a mirror selfie

As well as snapped a pic of this sweet headband.  Note to self don’t try to zipper it while on the head…….especially with that head full of hairspray……it won’t end well.

I got this headband from a little boutique in New Orleans similar here///here

Anyone else do this too?  I swear the last few Weddings I’ve went to we left starving.

Sunday I had all intentions of being super productive but I ended up getting sucked into Pinterest and pinning every gilmore quote and gif that pretty much ever existed.

The good news is I did get some blog posts written so I won’t be up till midnight every night.  So there is that.  Oh and I also did some online shopping.  There goes that October spending freeze.  What were you up to this weekend?  Did you have gorgeous weather as well?  Check back tomorrow for the things I’m Digging lately xoxoxo

p.s y’all ready for the plank challenge??

  1. Loved both your outfits this weekend!! I’m saving my Gilmore Girl watching for those times Gary is out of town and I can have bingeathons!!! I’ve never stopped to eat before a wedding, but we have stopped on the way to the reception because there was a 3 hour gap…who does that?! Hope you have a great Monday!! xo

Love that dress! Your weekend looked amazing!!

  3. Both of your dresses are just beautiful! Love leather accents this season!

I love Gilmore Girls! I don’t think I have seen all the episodes the first time they aired, so I may have to go back and watch them all!

  4. Thanks for the reminder about the plank challenge … I need to get on that today! So jealous that you at least got to start Gilmore Girls. Watching the show was always something that my mom and I did together, so we are trying to figure out how to make a schedule of episodes to watch each week, and then we can discuss them over the phone (hilarious, right?). You look so gorgeous for your night out and for the wedding – I’d kill for your legs and just overall appearance. Happy Monday!

  5. great weekend! why is it over already? boo. i need to get some posts done tonight. so lazy. and need to get my ass to TJs stat. thanks for the reminder :)

  6. Dannnggg girl! You are rocking that dress! LOVE it! Well both of them actually. And jealous of your rooftop view. So nice! Glad you had a great weekend!

love both of your dresses, you look amazing in both!! and yay gilmore girls! i have easily seen each episode 3 or 4 times, zero shame. i cant binge watch on netflix though unless KC isn’t home because he won’t stand for more than a few episodes, even if he’s on his computer lol.
plank challenge, eeeeep. lets do it.

  8. That dress you wore to the wedding looks like Herve Leger! It looks great on you! I’ve really been craving Dawson’s Creek lately and keep meaning to see if Netflix has it. Either I’ll love it or realize how stupid it was!

  9. You have the best wardrobe!

  10. Loving that dress and the views!! I need some Florida in my life :) Sounds like it was a good weekend and a big YAY for having blog posts done ahead of time! That’s the best feeling!

  11. Love that printed dress!! Great picture of you and Mark too. I saw those pumpkin croutons at Trader Joe’s yesterday. I’m trying to refrain myself from buying the pumpkin ice cream. The bread/muffin mix is really good though. I’ve gone to quite a few weddings and the food is so hit or miss. Or I have to worry that Chris won’t be able to eat anything because of his allergies. :-/ Glad that you had a nice weekend though! Hope that you are having a good day so far too.

  12. Heyyy hey! Leather accents, FTW!! And your headband/hair style combo is winning, too. High five on getting blog posts done ahead of time! We spent the last five days sans-power, so I feel like I just crawled out of the dark ages. Nothing is done for the week and there’s no edible food in the fridge. Whoomp.

  13. Ashley says:

You rocked that wedding dress girlfriend! Such a good color on you!

  14. That dress really is fabulous. Actually, I love both of them! And tJs is out f control with their fall goodies!!

  15. Jillian says:

  16. Joey says:

Girl you are stunning! I tried to be productive on Sunday, too, but it ended up being a mix of lazy and productive so I’ll call it a a sort of win ha

  17. Christina says:

i think i read that there are 22 different pumpkin products at tj’s! ridiculous! love the second dress. happy monday!

  18. MarlaJan says:

Really loving that first dress with the leather accents. Would look ridiculous on me, but you look great. Awesome photo of you and Mark! I still have yet to figure out how you work full time, teach, teach Barre, blog, and everything else you do and look fabulously stylish while doing it. I kinda envy you!

  19. Look at you pretty girl, love both outfits! YES the weather in Oklahoma has been perfect these last 2 weekends, wish it would always be this way :)

  20. Darcy says:

I went to the grocery store to buy pumpkin spice creamer and they were completely sold out! They did not have one single brand of it. Luckily, Tyler spotted one that was placed in the wrong space… but man those pumpkin flavors are flying off shelves quick!

  21. omg i’ve never left a wedding starving! but i have eaten before hand because weddings where dinner is at 8pm? no thanks, this old lady needs to eat at 530pm.

    Vodka and Soda

  22. Mree says:

Love love that dress!! You look gorgeous!! I totally need to go to Trader’s Joe for those croutons!!

  23. Looks like you had a full weekend! You are one up on me, way to get some blog posts logged! I spent the entire weekend in a work conference, no catching up over here :(

  24. Miche says:

Love that headband!! Also, I’ve been avoiding Gilmore Girls on Netflix, only because I know it’s the only thing I will do for months lol

    Miche from Buttons and Birdcages

  25. I didnt’ even know pumpkin corn bread existed. I now am on the hunt!

  26. What a great weekend! Both of those dresses are GORGEOUS!
And I think it’s time to jump on the Gilmore Girls train since it’s now on Netflix. I love Lauren Graham.

  27. Gorgeous views! I feel that I appreciate living in FL so much more after growing up in CT especially when it’s bitterly cold and dreary up there and it’s perfect and sunny down here :)

And YES to eating before the wedding, I’ve noticed that if it’s a plated dinner we’re always starving because we either don’t like everything on our plate or there isn’t enough. So we did stations at our wedding so people could pick what they wanted on their plate and go back for more if they wanted to. Best of both worlds!

  28. It is hard not to get sucked into Gilmore Girls…such a good show! I love the two dresses in your post today! You look so pretty! :)

  29. Zelle B. says:

    ~Elise @ highheelsglitteringeyes.blogspot.com

  39. Beautiful dress! I know what you mean about never getting any pics with your SO. Seriously, mine even gives me a hard time when I ask him to get a picture of me with the kids…seriously? Perfect example was the zoo this weekend. The only one I had posted was the only one he took and he wasn’t patient enough to get a good one. Oh well. These will be my memories. Yay. haha.

  40. Julia says:

You’re so gorgeous, teach me your fashion ways! ;) I’m so jealous about Gilmore Girls, we don’t have Netflix. I kind of want to get it just for that though. I’m really excited about those pumpkin cornbread croutons, we just got a Trader Joe’s here (it opened this weekend!) and I want to go get some of those like now!

  41. Looove the feather headband. Rocking it! I mean, the views from that rooftop bar are insane.

  42. Love that Charlie Jade dress- I am bummed it is not available anymore.
