I know this isn’t a secret around here…..but I really try to cram a lot into each day. So this is probably no surprise to y’all but I have never taken a week of vacation off before. I am very blessed in that I have been with my current practice for almost 10 years now (wow that is insane) so I am now into major PTO earning status. The crazy part is I really don’t use all of my allotted time. We are such long weekend kind of travelers, so to have actually taken a full week plus off….I am not joking it feels like I was gone for a month.
I am catching up on major backlog of emails and to do lists, so bear with me because I want to share all the fabulous pictures and tell you everything I have learned. I also don’t want to in my still post vacation brain state throw together anything haphazard because a once in a lifetime trip deserves the time to showcase it’s full beauty. I was so strict with our sleep patterns going and coming back that I really don’t feel jet lagged (you know I will have a full report on how that was accomplished). I will say I have been waking up earlier since we got back and I think Florida was welcoming us home. Check out the sunrise from this morning!
I am working on full recaps but let me just say this. Santorini may have taken us a lifetime to get there (details are coming I promise) but it was honestly the most beautiful place on this earth.
Also our suite with a pool. Never wanted to leave.
Plus the food. I could have an entire album on just that.
Take me back please!
In all honestly it was really great to have disconnected for that whole time. The wifi in Santorini was less than stellar so we had so much uninterrupted time together, it was exactly what we needed. I hope y’all are having a great week and thank you for letting me ease back in slowly ;-) xoxoxo

The food in Greece is just amazing! I think taking time off to unplug is so needed! Whenever I get home from a trip it takes me a bit to figure out how to write a blog post that does it justice. Looking forward to reading all about your trip and seeing your beautiful pictures!

Breathtaking! I would never ever want to leave that place, either! :)

Ease yourself back into life girl, no stress from us, promise! I’m so glad you were able to get away for a week, you totally deserve it! And I’m glad you didn’t worry you just were there with your husband, that’s the way a honeymoon should be, no worries about the people left behind ;)!
All of your pictures are amazing :)!
Claire @ Fashion + Feathers says
Keeping up with your pix on IG was just breathtaking. I’m loving that bikini top with the incredible back, too. Can’t wait to see all your pictures!

Ok so that last picture you need to send to the hotel where you stayed and have them put them up on their site because 100% you just sold me even more to go to Greece on my next European trip! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

I loved seeing your pics throughout the week, even tho the wi-fi was spotty. I can’t wait to see all of the other ones! I’m glad you had a nice time relaxing and spending time with your husband–it sounds like a great week away! :)

I can completely relate. I’m thrown off from just a few days away, so I can imagine you’d be thrown off from a whole week away. Still, it sounds like it was well worth it. I can’t wait to here more, but these pictures are so beautiful!

I love that you were able to unplug!!! Can’t wait to see and hear all about it… and those early mornings after we got back felt like I had been bitten by the productivity bug… It was THE BEST… So enjoy it!! And I hear you on the week off thing – we’re the SAME WAY with taking time…. except we generally work all weekend and sneak a day here or there. After our honeymoon though, I’ve realized we need to be a little smarter about that! At any rate, WELCOME BACK!

Oh my goodness, this is absolutely gorgeous. Your instagram photos were breathtaking, too! I think the only time I’ve ever taken a true week long RELAXING vacation was our honeymoon, too. I’d like to change that. I’d like to make it a yearly thing. We are all so “gogogo” all the time, our bodies and minds need rest–and our relationships need for us to put “pause” on life and spend time together!
Katie Elizabeth says
Eeek I am SO excited to hear all about your trip! It always takes a little bit to get back into the swing of things – we’re here when you’re ready :)

My goodness, those photos are stunning. I don’t know how you came home from that trip. It would take everything to tear myself away from a place that looks like a painting.

It is so beautiful I’d love to go one day. We never took a honeymoon because I had my first son(Luke) before we were married and I didn’t want to leave him for a week! Your trip sounds so perfect. That last photo is gorgeous I love it!

Can’t wait to hear more about your trip! Hope settling back into reality isn’t too painful :)

These photos are stunning, but I hope you didn’t work your honeymoon away. (; Nothing wrong with taking a little time for yourself. But I do get it. My mom is the same way. She gets 4 weeks paid and tons of sick time a year and maybe only takes 2 weeks of it. At least you’re an awesome employee! (; Can’t wait for more posts!
