I hope everyone had a fabulous Labor Day weekend. I cannot believe how fast that long weekend went! I had such a wonderful time catching up with my family, soaking up Sarasota sunsets, spending quality time with Mark and a quick jaunt over to hang out with some wizards in Hogawarts. Getting the year pass to Universal was so worth it. If you follow me on snapchat (@meetatthebarre) you definitely got a glimpse into that fab weekend. Now that Fall is underwear and Football is starting, I am so ready for the transition to Fall clothes. One of the trends the is back this year and I am still majorly digging, is plaid dresses.
Fall Trends: Plaid Dresses
I’m also digging backpacks and bought one the Elizabeth and James sling bags but that is a post for a different date. So when I kept on seeing plaid surfacing up it made me think of the days my mother put me in plaid skirts with matching bows. I had to move past those visuals and think of all the fab ways to style it. What I love about this particular dress is it works for the right now temps but when it really cools down, add some thick tights, booties and maybe even this vest or this coat? I have a feeling I will be wearing this dress on major repeat. I can’t decide which BB Dakota plaid dress color I like it better in.

Here are a few other plaid pieces that are on my radar. Loving this plaid skirt, this Madewell shirt will be worn on major repeat. This shift dress would look amazing with a leather jacket over and booties. I am so in love with the Joie plaid dresses. This one is half off.
Next can I even tell you how much I am in love with these booties? The leather is so soft and they are insanely comfortable. Like, walk miles in these. You can wear them with dresses, skinnies or skirts.
They are sold out but here is the newest version or the complete Dolce Vita booties for the Fall. How unbelievable are the heels on this pair?

I love that you are wearing a dress that we have at Evereve!! Totally going to be a nerd and show this to my girls at work haha. The one in the Nordstrom link is the exact one that we have too. It’s a great dress and when I put it on a mannequin I just threw a chunky/cozy cardigan over it and booties for shoes. Speaking of booties, LOVE your booties!! I love the plaid dress on you! And I love them in theory… But I’m too tall and it just looks like I was confused and I’m wearing a shirt as a dress. Seriously, haven’t found one remotely long enough yet! If I ever do, I’ll totally snatch it up! Until then, I’ll stick to plaid shirts. Which, btw, I’m still totally looking for a preggo one. LOVE plaid, I just don’t take advantage of the fabulous trend. I did when I was young but now I fail to actually purchase anything, haha. I need that dress, you look amazing. Will it make me look amazing too?
I love all things plaid and that dress is no exception. Except here I’d probably have to wear it with leggings or tights as it will be way too cold for dresses. :)

That dress is absolutely fabulous!!!! I have always been a fan of plaid but it never seems to make it in my wardrobe. Maybe I shall change that this season!
