Can I tell you something? Up to a few years ago, I never shopped online. I was always a have to try everything on and see if it works for my body type kind of gal. Plus, I liked the whole outing experience of shopping. Fast forward to now. I detest going to the mall because people. Well, more specifically parking lots, finding spaces, figuring out what is the best strategic parking space to get the most time effective cluster of stores closest to my spot……then there are the people that spray the perfume in your face when you walk by or the kiosks that are trying to put clip in hair extensions in or talk to you about the latest mineral dead sea lotion.
It’s exhausted and overstimulating.
Now with all the stores with lighting fast shipping and returns, I can shop on my lunch break or from the comforts of my pjs and couch. Today I am partnering with my new favorite online source especially when it comes to lightning fast shipping Zappos. I swear they have a little factory out in the front bushes to my place because when I click the goods arrive the next morning.
I was up north for the holidays which meant that I got to bust out the boots and fur vests. Even though it wasn’t a white Christmas it was certainly more festive than the 85 degrees down here in Florida. I made sure to stop by the Zappos Style room before I arrived. The website is super easy to navigate and I had my holiday outfit picked out and shipped the same day.
Y’all know that I have been eyeing those Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots for quite some time and I finally took the plunge and ordered them for the holidays. I had them shipped to my sister in Jersey because hello no taxes, I mean that is already on sale then for me right? I read the reviews and found some conflicted info about sizing. A lot of reviewers said to size down and then some said they ran true to size. I was conflicted (I know major life issues right?) I clicked open the online support and was immediately connected to a Zappos representative. She was beyond helpful. She conducted some research and also told me she owned a pair and ensured me that my true to size ordering would be perfect.
Now y’all know I like to be honest with you. When I got my first delivery, it wasn’t what I expected. They were actually the wrong pair of boots inside of the Stuart Weitzman box. I called the customer service and immediately was connected, no wait time. I spoke to someone who was local in the US and she remedied the situation with a store credit and credit back to my account. The second pair of boots arrived. This pair wasn’t in a Stuart Weitzman box but the right boots. They were in a cardboard box and the boots were haphazardly packed in them. Once again, call to customer service resulted in a credit back and credit to the store. The third pair which arrived was packaged beautifully and correctly.
Listen, I totally get it. The holidays are crazy with returns and the rush to get orders out on time. What was more important to me was how the customer service representatives handled the situations. Each time they were on top of it with a new pair and credit back for the mishap. They were excellent to work with. For that reason I would absolutely order from them again.
These beauties are incredibly comfortable plus this dress from BB Dakota is perfect for the holidays plus it has pockets, any dresses with pockets is perfection in my book. It also comes in black and this pretty teal color. Finally, I am extremely picky with faux fur. 99% of the coats and vests I turn my nose up to by the color or feel to them. This vest is silky soft and doesn’t add too much bulk. If you have had a black fur vest on your radar, this one is worth it for a really great price point.
