Weekend Roundup-The Best of Window Shopping

Back to Monday already???  I’m not going to lie I did some major catching up on sleep this weekend.  Like the kind of sleeping in you are embarrassed to even admit because half your day is lost but I really needed it!  I did some serious window shopping at the high end spots on Sunday and you know I will be on the hunt for our designer dupes or how we can score those finds on the discount.  I have already found the Tom Ford sunglasses I was drooling over for almost half of what Nordstroms had them out.  So definitely be on the lookout for that post!

I met my parents and looked at some model homes that are going up in a development by where they live.  It is about an hour away from where I live but for a kitchen like this….I would consider that commute.  I mean doesn’t that look like the kitchens on Pinterest.  The gut wrenching part is the cost of the houses are what 2 bedroom townhouses sell for around where I am.

Kelly came over on Saturday night and we had another epic dinner consisting of this.

Painted my nails with this.

Sunday consisted of an art show in Hyde Park and window shopping.  Shopping outfit with that cross body bag so perfect for Spring.

I was so proud of myself I didn’t buy anything but I did score some major samples.  Ask and you shall receive is my motto ;-) Here are some of the Spring Looks that I am lusting over.  I would never pay these prices but I now have the mission to find these looks for less.

This Joie Dress.  It is on sale but not enough for this budget shopper.

Eat at Bazille inside of Nordstorms it was delicious.  Crack fries with olive tapenade aioli.

Swung by here.  Finally opened!!!

The parking lot is tight but still much better than the one by my parents house.  Plus there are less old people in big cars backing into yours and driving off because “they didn’t feel anything”.

It was organized chaos in there but everything was running smoothly.  A lot of my go to buys were sold out…of course but I did pick up other staples.

Get this wine.  It has the tiniest bit of bubbly to it. Perfect for warm weather or sipping on poolside.

Side note what do they pay the people that work there?  Or what happy pills do they provide them with? Whatever it is I want some.  They had to be the happiest most smiley employees I’ve ever seen!!!

Must be all that cheap wine

Also wanted to announce big things around here.  I finally got my act together and bought my own domain!  Big Moves over here.

My old blogspot will still work but I am now also found at

I used this coupon code cjcrmn3cp for godaddy.com.  It saved me a ton of money and I paid for that private registration so my information is not out in the open.  If you have any questions about this feel free to email me.  I am not the most tech savvy but it was a very seamless process.

Also my Facebook page (I know it’s like so myspace 2001 but you know you still mindlessly look at it don’t lie) is fully up.  You can like the page here.

Moving on up over here.  It’s all because of everyone’s amazing feedback and support!  If there are any ideas or posts you want me to do…..or posts that you like or never want me to do again…..I love to hear from you!  Send them my way!  Hope you survive Monday.  This week I have favorite products on the radar, confessions, funnies and how to get bathing suit season ready so make sure to check back!  xoxoxo

That joie dress looks like it was MADE for me…duh ;) It looks super cute on you, too. I totally wouldn’t spend dollars on it though if I didn’t think it was deeply discounted enough haha! I love your nails AND that cross body bag!! Those are the best for shopping/going out–it feels so freeing haha!

  11. OMG I need to go shopping with you. I love everything you took pictures of and I swear unless you’re at the outlets or the Millenia Mall over here you can’t find cute stuff like that. Of course I probably wouldn’t buy any of it because it’s all probably WAY over my budget but still fun to look at. Loving your Saturday dinner and those amazing fries… yummy! I’d make the commute for that kitchen too… wow. Looks like you had a great weekend girl!

Omg, that kitchen looks amaaaazing. Houses here are overpriced too, so I hear you.

Next time I’m in the States, I’m going to check out a Trader Joes because you’ve made me curious about it now.

    Mmm..fries.

  16. Christina says:

Girrrll you love your chips and salsa, haha! I’ve had that wine from TJ’s and it is good! I’ve done a bunch of TJ product roundups on my blog if you’re looking for fun stuff to buy. Yes, buy that kitchen and I’ll move in as your chef. haha

  17. That kitchen is gorgeous! And woohoo to buying your own domain! I have been meaning to do the same, but always seem to have something else come up when I plan to sit down and do it all

  18. What a great weekend!! For some reason I did a lot of sleep catching up as well- like random 3 hour naps in the middle of the day?? Weird for me but nice. I love ya’lls dinner of champions and thanks a lot bc I am now swooning over that t. baker bag/dress! haha

  19. Congrats on your own domain! Always so exciting! All the food looks delicious and now I am hungry!!! I am jealous of your Trader Joe’s. When I lived in Atlanta I had so many so close to me and now I have NONE. I miss them dearly!!

  20. I love all the dresses! Something about spring dresses… even though it was 34 here this morning!

  21. That kitchen looks straight out of Pinterest!!! But just remember, as they always say on House Hunters… Location, location, location! But girllll, I would give up a short commute for that beauty!

I bought a domain but am waiting to redo my design because I’m changing my name and everything. What was the process like getting your domain to work? I’ve tried looking at it just out of curiosity but it feels really overwhelming! That kitchen is to die for and I love everything you snapped pics of, especially the dresses!

  25. your outfit is so cute and reminds me of spring. loooove the yellow striped shirt. i need it in my life

  26. Brittney says:

That kitchen is just perfect! I keep reading about all these yummy things at Trader Joe’s, but I don’t live near one. I feel so left out.

  27. Savanna says:

Congrats on your own Domain!!! That kitchen is awesome!! I love it!! I went to Trader Joes this weekend… Love that place!

  28. Olive tapenade aoli? Yes please.

    Congrats on the new domain!

  29. So much goodness I can’t even mention it all. Love all the cute clothes, amazing looking food, and your new TJ’s sans crazy Buick drivers ;)

  31. Oh my god, that kitchen… I want it. I need it. It’s like the size of my kitchen & living room combined, but who really needs a living room anyway?!

  32. Lauren says:

Trader Joe’s wine section is the best! And congrats on your domain – it is so weirdly exciting, right?

  33. I so miss Trader Joe’s, that place is heaven.

    Yayyy for domain sales, congrats!

  34. That is like my dream kitchen! Congrats on the new domain, doesn’t it make you feel legit! Love the Ella Moss dress with the sweetheart neckline, so cute.

  35. I love the kitchen with the double island… ***sigh*** so sick of the Madison kitchens and the 1 drawer. TJs was a mad house today but was able to grab my favorite almond champagne! I will have to try that Pino you suggested next time : )

  36. I’m just going to save some time and tell you I love everything about this whole post. The kitchen, shoes, outfits, purses, nails, etc. ALL OF IT! And I did not even open my eyes Saturday morning until 10:45am! Crazy for me… Guess I needed it too!

  37. I feel so much better for wasting my weekend now that I know other people do that too. Bloggers post 9 million things they did that weekend and I’m like, oh hey. I walked the dog and went out to dinner. Success! Good job not spending money!! Your wallet will thank you (and be thicker for the next time you go ;)

  38. Those Tom Ford dresses are adorable!! Such a bummer that even when expensive stuff goes on sale it’s still too much!

  39. Maybe it’s Trader Joes everywhere… They have the smallest parking lots!!!! Love the dress you bought!!!! and those crack fries…. yum!

  40. Congrats on the domain name! I did the privacy protection thing, too… there are some fucking weirdos out there – I can’t believe some people don’t!!!!!

  41. Woot woot congrats on your new domain!! I want that kitchen! And I’ll take any of those cute flats!

  42. Gina says:
