These end of the year posts are my favorite ones to write because I am a big time reflector kind of person. So much has happened over this past year and I love being able to have the blog as one of the best ways to recall the brilliance of 2015. I can’t believe I have been blogging for only 2 years, I honestly feel like I have been with y’all for so much longer than that. When I started this blog, I was all “hi I’m Amanda, this is my boyfriend and my little condo in downtown….” Now I’m married to that said boyfriend for almost a year and have plans of possibly expanded that family in the near future.
In the beginning I was working as a full time Nurse Practitioner and teaching barre classes. Now I’m still working full time, I’m an adjunct faculty member at a well known University, still teaching barre classes and have grown this blog to what it has become today.
From the blog standpoint over the past year I have undergone a ton of changes and growth which you all have followed along with. I have switched over from the blogger platform to wordpress which came with it’s own set of frustrations but ultimately I am so happy I made that cross. Wordpress has really allowed me to take this blog to the next professional level and I love the design abilities of it.
My next goal that I have been working on this year which I’ve gotten the most genuine and positive feedback from y’all is my photography. I am very blessed to have a husband who is very patient with me but also has a natural ability and eye for photography. I even have him tucking in tags on the back of my tops now, he is a quick learner or doesn’t want to hear me complain of having to photoshop hair over them anymore…..either one. My plans for the next year are to continue to develop my photography. I really have a passion for it and I’m incredibly inspired by all the local artists we have in the community that I reside in.
You all know how much I love to travel and how meticulous I am with planning. This year lead to incredible travel starting off with our honeymoon to Greece. If that has been on your radar please feel free to email me, I am happy to share all the knowledge with you. I also headed to Charleston where I had the best blates ever. Check out my travel tab for full recaps of my travels over the past year.
We are currently underway for planning our one year anniversary trip. The plans haven’t been finalized yet but my husband has caught the European travel bug and I am overjoyed about this. Can’t wait to share all those details with you.
When you write almost 5 days a week solid for an entire year it is really hard to narrow down your favorite posts. They all are special and carry their own meaning to you and to others. If I had to pick a top 10……they would be these (all of the headers if you click them will take you to the post).
I still can’t not hear this song and not think about this.
Make sure to check out my travel section here and to read all about all the Greek isle reviews check it out here.
Getting Real with Some Confessions
We all know that we love getting them off our chest right?
Sharing my Outlook for Where Blogging Is Going
Favorite Fashion Moment (this was the Instagram post that got picked up by liketoknowit)
Hard to narrow it down but this story still makes me cringe and laugh all at the same time.
Where you able to guess which side was the save vs splurge in this makeup review of drugstore vs high end?
You know I love making those running/workout playlists. Have you conquered any of these at home workouts yet?
I also had to include this post as well.
Since I get asked about this on a daily basis……I thought I’d write a post about it.
Finally. This was one of my favorite posts to write and to receive emails back after about. My post that was devoted to the “Non Blogger Readers“, I still get daily emails from readers all over and I love you all for that!
So there is my roundup from 2015 of my favorite posts and highlights. What have been some of your favorite things to read over here or what keeps you coming back for more? For all my fairly new readers I hope that was a great introduction to what this past year was for me. You can always check out more by clicking the category tabs at the top of my blog!
I am beyond excited to think about what this next year has in store for me. I can’t wait to continue this journey and share with you along the way! Thank you for all your love and support. Make sure to check back tomorrow for my favorite roundup of products and goodies over the year! xoxoxo
